My husband who has Parkinson’s has been working with Joanne at YouTherapy. He has completed the four week LSVT Big program and now goes once a week. In addition to the exercises of the Big program, she has added strength and balance exercises. In the past, he has had in-home and outpatient therapy with many different therapists. Joanne is doing very creative and effective exercises that he has never done with any other therapist. He gets one-on-one attention for the complete session. She works him hard and challenges him while always encouraging him in a pleasant manner. She’s delightful! I highly recommend YouTherapy.

My husband who has Parkinson's Disease, has been using their physical therapy and their boxing every week. He started with LSVT Big for Parkinson's three times per week. He is now doing twice weekly therapy and boxing once a week. He has become stronger and more flexible and his posture has improved, especially the stooping that is typical of PD. He enjoys working with both Rey and Joanne. Their team is knowledgeable, warm and flexible. We are very happy with the care and highly recommend.
YouTheraphy has licensed and experienced physical therapists. Their advocacy is to help people with progressive disorders specially those with Parkinson's stay healthy. I find the therapists warm and accomodating. The place also gives a refreshing feeling.
Therapy is strictly 1 on 1. Pleasant atmosphere. Ray listens to your needs and wants and helps you to work towards those goals.
I highly recommend Youtherapy Wellness and Physical Rehab. Rey is a very experienced Physical Therapist and a fantastic trainer who take a holistic approach to wellness and fitness. I was able to use the gym and attended the boxing class. 15 minutes of warm up and stretching, around 7 rounds of 2-3 minutes of boxing from low intensity to a higher intensity depending on your physical level and medical history, and ~15 minutes cool down exercises. Gym is well equipped and pristine! So I highly recommend them for your fitness or wellness needs!
My husband has Parkinson’s. Since moving back to CT I had been looking for a new place for boxing/ exercises. Saw on Facebook a facility called You Therapy Wellness in Milford for elderly adults. Very impressed with what they had to offer. Rey Abadilla is a Physical Therapist who also combines Tai Chi with the boxing. He is very patient, explains the movements, works right along with everyone. Besides the boxing exercises he also offers one on one personal training. If I had to name one of the positives of moving back to CT YOU Therapy Wellness & Rey Adadilla would B at the top of my list.
You can’t beat this place for therapy. My mom was not able to walk steadily before she went to Youtherapy. 1 month later because of the one on one therapy sessions she can walk without a walker or cane. Thanks Youtherapy!
Highly recommend going to YouTherapy for any of your training and therapy needs. They have registered physical therapists who will work one on one with you to help you achieve your goals!
