Kori is great with our daughter. She really takes her time to work with her and to improve her outlook about daily life. She is encouraging and a great cheerleader and celebrates milestones. She makes things fun and interactive which is a big help at keeping my child’s attention and focused on the session. My daughter loves her. The center itself could use some improvements, especially with “bedside manner” but overall our experience with Kori has been great. We appreciate her.

As most of the people of Cullman know, we are considered to be a small town. When we get a new business like a place to eat or shop - we get excited and line up to be some of the first to visit. Well, when I found that we had a new counseling service, I was very excited. We'd been traveling over 50 miles to see a counselor for children. So when YELLOW BRICK ROAD opened their doors back in August of 2018 we were among the first clients - and it was more than a blessing!! The counselors there are not only highly credentialed but are the most caring, compassionate and capable I've ever found. We were with what I considered to be top of the line professionals available, but the problem was, they were a huge organization. Scheduling and constantly changing staff seemed to be an ongoing issue. With Yellow Brick Road the staff has stayed firmly in place and they are aware of the clients individual needs and make needed provisions for appointment times. I can honestly say that in the time we have been clients there that more has been accomplished than all the last multiple years we've spent traveling the miles to the other facility. As great as it is to get new shops, stores and eateries- having a qualified and capable service for mental and emotional health care is so much more exciting and incredibly important for those who need these services. Mental and emotional issues can be confusing, and can cause so many health and family problems - unless you seek and find reliable care. I am so thankful we are in the good hands of these good people. Thank you Yellow Brick Road. Thank you for the blessings you have been to our community and specifically our family.”

This place is a joke. My daughter's family physician made an appointment to have my daughter tested for ADHA as it specifically stated on my intake forms. 1 month later her Dr wanted the test results. I called them and requested them to be sent to my daughter's family physician only to find out that this whole time we had only been going to counseling with Kori Cowan. We spent ($105 dollars) not including what my insurance paid. So, we asked what we needed to do to get her tested, come to find out the test was $125. Which we said no to and went somewhere else that the people knew what they were doing. My husband's debit card was charged without prior authorization for $70. Kori Cowan, her counselor was absolutely useless!! After about 30 minutes of talking to my daughter about absolutely nothing she makes us sign a piece of paper and the session would be over. So, my daughter got absolutely no help and it cost us and my insurance company a lot of money for nothing. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY ALL THEY ARE AFTER IS YOUR MONEY!!!

Do not hold out for an appointment if you are on the wait list. I was called on Friday to get my child scheduled, but they were closed by the time I got off of work on Friday. I had to call twice on Monday before they picked up and they had already skipped over us. All they would do was put us back on the wait list that we’ve already spent over 6 months on.

The only reason we went there was to get our daughter tested for ADHD. After 3 weeks of counseling which we didn't ask for we were told we had to pay cash and specifically request the testing. On top of that co-pays were charged whenever they got around to it instead of each session. Really feel like this place is just in it to make money. Didn't get the help we needed and it costed us money we really didn't have..

Sara Linkous has been a godsend to me and my family. I attribute a lot of my son’s success to his time with her. I’m so glad our pediatrician recommended Yellow Brick
