✨👏✨Favorable experiences with this hospital for both my husband and me. In my experience of having essential MRIs,etc. performed here over the years, I was/am pleased with the pervasive professionalism of the doctors, nurses, & medtechs; consistent competence, and overall pleasant ambiance. Also not a far drive from diminutive yet bustling 🏞🏔🏞New Cumberland, WV / West Virginia of Appalachia🏞🏔🏞.Highly recommend👍

Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about Wheeling Hospital. They admitted me quickly when my headache was so bad and it turned out I had a fever. The Doctor came in and actually believed I was in pain! Thought I was going to be turned away. However, they thought i had meningitis and they had to admit me. The whole entire staff supported me so much. Even the doctors were so kind and they did not mind if I Just need to let it out. Just do not page them from 12-6am unless its an Emergency. Things even got to the point where I wanted to die, but anyways they saved me from Suicide! Please do not hate on Wheeling Hospital! 💙💙

They do not have enough people to register you for later afternoon appointments causing you to be late for your scheduled appointments. They need to have more people in registration or allow you to do it online. The people in Mammography were 5 stars!!!

What an incredible hospital this is! My Mom was admitted several days ago through the ER. From start to finish we experience nothing but professionalism as well as laughter during a stressful time! Way too many nurses to remember because she was there for several days. Shout out to all of you rockstars at WVU…. Job exceptionally well done! The cafeteria food was amazing, just had to throw that out there! Lol…

My father is currently in Ruby Memorial Hospital getting treatment after a month long debacle with Wheeling Hospital which included three Hospital stays and no answers for his serious health issues. In this time period my Dad recieved multiple blood transfusions only to be released with no real plan of care. It was obvious he was bleeding to DEATH. The first visit my dad went in through the ER and then to the ICU to receive a blood transfusion. The Hospital stepped him down to a regular room and completed upper GI and then released him without any plan, follow-up, or orders to check his hemoglobin. He was supposed to have a colonoscopy but they discharged him before having this test. The outpatient office called and notified him his colonoscopy would be in 5 WEEKS. A few days later his Cardiologists checked his bloodwork/ Hemoglobin because he was concerned about my Dad having no planned or little follow-up! They discovered his Hemoglobin was in the 7's which was very LOW. He went back to Wheeling Hospital for another transfusion in which they finally did the colonoscopy. He was THEN released AGAIN without keeping him more than a few days or conducting ANY more in depth nuclear TESTING. I know for sure they had a nuclear test to detect internal bleeding but did they do it? No!!!!!! They told him to schedule a pill camera test on an outpatient basis which could take weeks to obtain, they did however have him came back for bloodwork in which they found my Dad had low hemoglobin again. So he went back to the hospital to receive yet another transfusion only to be released again. I'm sure I'm leaving out some details but the major points were expressed in this post. After all this mess and three hospital visits my Dad was FINALLY told by one of the ER doctor's to "go to Ruby ER". Mind you my Dad is legally blind since birth and can't drive as well as HIM still bleeding AND very unwell, dizzy, etc. They send him away while in the ER a forth time telling him to go to Morgantown. Why isn't there a referral process at this Hospital when people need a higher level of care? Why wasn't he told to go there earlier if they didn't have the technology to take care of his life threatening health issues? He was discharged each time and told to wait on follow-up testing that was scheduled weeks out in advance while my dad continued to bleed to DEATH. My Dad ended up taking a taxi to Ruby Memorial because I live out of state. When he arrived there he was told he really should have had a referral from Wheeling Hospital for them to treat him. Thank goodness they admitted him and are taking care of him at Ruby! They gave him more in depth testing within the first 24 hours of him being there than he recieved in three hospital visits at Wheeling Hospital. Wheeling Hospital SHAME on YOU!!! I worked as a social worker for many years and some of this time was hospitals. It doesn't take a genus to recognize medical NEGLECT! You NEGLECTed my father and his health has suffered as a result! You can only get so many transfusions before it starts to affect other organs in the body! He will hopefully get the surgery and care he needs at a real hospital 🏥!

While visiting i had to use the ER.. From the minute i walked in door everybody in fast track was awesome. The pharmacy being at hospital is the best thing. All people in their are nice. Puts alot of other hospitals to shame.
