WVU Reynolds Memorial Hospital

Took 6 hours in the ER. They brought me back after an hour and checked my heart rate and blood pressure, sent me back into the waiting room for 2 more hours, brought me back again, treated me, and now I've been stuck waiting here for 3 HOURS. I even went to ask for discharge papers and the lady gave me attitude talking about "there's only 1 doctor at night" like I haven't been here since midday.

Whoever the duo is today at the front desk (registration) should probably be re-trained. Just got scolded by the guy at the desk because I didn’t know you had to register again once they call to pre-register you for an appointment. You shouldn’t have people like that as the first contact in a hospital. Just my opinion. Also id just like to add that I’ve never had an issue at Reynolds before I appreciate the care I’ve received thus far but I definitely didn’t expect to be borderline yelled at for simply doing what I was told to do on the phone.

I just had the best experience in the mammogram/ultrasound dept. I would love to thank Sami, Jordan, and Dr Schambach. Sami was so understanding of my nerves, I felt the weight of the world lifting when she was explaining what she was doing and why. Jordan was so personable, and made me feel so comfortable. Dr Schambach made me feel at ease and I just cannot thank them enough for their compassion and empathy. Thank you for everything sincerely.

Horrible experience in the Behavioral Health Unit. All 3 Psychiatrists treated me horribly. I came here for 5 months of unexplained headaches and failing migraine treatment in the ER. At first I thought Dr.Gobrial was nice, but then he turned around and I got this denied insurance claim from Humana saying I was not suicidal. Instead, he and the psychiatrists thought I was just anxious and sad. What a joke. As for Dr. Papidomitriou, he was not so bad but he was very condescending because he said sometimes grown ups have to talk to other grow ups and we can’t sweep things under the rug since I felt home sick and wanted to go home. Oh, but the one who really set it off for me was Dr.Pradhan, she did not believe I was suicidal and she thought I was Just frustrated and said AI need to manage my emotions better. I also need to what I say or else I would be in a facility for weeks. Sounds like something my grandmother would say. Although, she made me angry and I confronted her she did apologize. However, her apology sucked but I accept it. I appreciate her for prescribing me topamax and her concern for my 5 months of headaches.

This place is the dirtiest hospital I’ve ever been in. The only cleaning that was done in 3 days was the trash was emptied. Had to ask for toothbrush etc. that most already have in the rooms. Under the sink cabinet was so dirty and rusty you could put your finger through it. Nurse at nurses station was rude and not helpful at all, the aids that were working were very helpful and nice. WVU needs to take a look at this and make some changes. Was transferred to Reynolds from Wetzel county and I must say Wetzel county is top notch. Reynolds needs to take some suggestions from them.

The nurses were wonderful the doctor was great the the Aftercare was ridiculous they left me high and dry after they told me they were going to have a doctor or a nurse come to my house once a week to help me bandage and take care of my foot while the new this in my charge that I did not have a primary care physician but now that's causing a big problem and I'm running out of supplies to take care of my foot so I'm about to go right back down to Same road with my foot because they didn't pay attention and now I'm sitting here trying to get ahold of people and they just keep telling me to come back to the ER I don't have to come to the ER I know what is wrong with me this is why people don't go to Reynolds

This place is a disgrace. I've been a nurse since 1982 and never experienced this lack of care and lack of knowledge in a hospital. Came in having chest pain(already had widow maker heart attack and a brain bleed.) Sat at admin answering questions, in between the woman answering the phone and being interrupted by others. 3 hours later, still no doctor. But 6 staff members eating and hanging out at the station. Brought me pills just to throw in the trash since they didn't read I already took some....this is my first and last time there...
