Women's Health: Adventist Health Ukiah Valley

At the beginning I really liked going here. Dr. Conroy was great. However towards the end of my pregnancy I started to feel pretty off and at one of my last appointments I was told my blood pressure was high but "it wasn't of concern" so I listened. I then did go out of town and did reschedule an appointment wich was my bad but there was no concern so I didn't think much of it. I get home and my feet are swollen and my blood pressure is very high. I then went to the ER and was flown out to Santa Rosa. I was diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia. I was in the hospital for 4 days and then released. Later that night into the early morning I wasn't feeling ok so I called the Dr. in Ukiah because it is closer and all I was told was to just take more blood pressure medication and she had not much concern and did not tell me to go to the hospital or anything. I got kind of upset on the phone because I knew something wasn't right but all she kept telling me to do was just take an other blood pressure medication. I ened up hanging up on her and called the hospital in Santa Rosa where I last was and they emidiatly told me to come back. My husband and I drove from Fort Bragg all the way there and I'm glad we did. My blood pressure was even higher than it was at home. The blood pressure medication did nothing and I actually ended up having a bad reaction from it. Santa Rosa is the one who prescribed the medication to me and I was fine on it for a bit but I was only supose to take it twice a day and I told Conroy that and she still insisted I take it. I'm glad I listened to my gut and called Santa Rosa back and came in. I am now here until I deliver. Just a heads up that Ukiah does not take babies born under 34 weeks. I highly recommend Sutter Health in Santa Rosa. Also if you feel like something is off while pregnant please do not brush it off or let a doctor tell you other wise.
