This facility is ran down, beds are broken, rooms without fans, unreliable tvs. This place doesnโ€™t give a home feeling to the long term residents here. Donโ€™t get me wrong, there a good/amazing handful of wonderful staff. However, the amount of neglect that occurs in this facility is beyond me. The amount of negativity that staff walk into this building with, reminds me of high school. Clique and A bunch of gossiping. This place is understaffed, poorly ran, and unorganized. No one gets their own room, there are water leaks in the some rooms. Beds are uncomfortable, the food is horrifying. This place desperately needs help to turn everything around or get shut down. Many residents decline fast with poor care from certain aids, some donโ€™t care nor treat them like their human. They will ignore their light for as long as they can, depending what nurse is on shift. There are some nurses who are rude and snobby to residents, they act superior than all. This would be my last resort if I were sent somewhere for help. I cherish all the amazing workers from afar because there is good here, unfortunately the negative is outweighing the positive.

We have a 94 year old family member who has resided there and the 5 star rating goes to the staff. The CNAS, nurses, administrators, receptionists and all other workers are courteous, professional and empathetic to her many needs. There are activities scheduled daily, the food menu is varied and the beauty salon really lifts spirits and self esteem. We were only asking for her happiness and safety and she found it here. It is true that care homes may appear very depressing but if you as a visitor display a bit of kindness to all persons in the facility it really brightens their and your day. There is a wonderous amount of past life history to learn about each resident and you must always remember that someday you too will have a final home.

After reading all the negative reviews about the care and rehab facilities in Chico, it was with great fear that I would be put in a paint pealing, vermin infested place where all they feed you is a piece of toast๐Ÿ˜ฒ! Whoever wrote those horrible reviews about Windsor neither stayed here or were going on the word of their whining relative. The staff here is EXCELLENT! they are friendly, helpful, caring and professional. They come immediately when you press the call button, unlike Enloe Hosp, whose desk staff (gatekeepers) screen your request with a curt "What" and who would hang up on you before you even finished with your request. After knee surgery, I was told not to try to go to the bathroom without assistance but 4 times no one came for over 20 minutes resulting in humiliating accidents and angry CNA's and nurses who had to clean up the mess. I had to call Enloe Liason three times to report a Shift Nurse who said, "all you had was knee surgery. You should have been sent home already" This was the day after surgery.! But I'd rather talk about Windsor and it's homey atmosphere. Each bed has it's own tv that is on an extension arm and that can be put in any position, including if you are laying flat you can put the screen directly over you head. They have easy controls and all the popular stations. The food is much better than Enloe, who pair foods like mashed potatoes with lasangne (carb overload) and who brought me mashed potatoes instead of the French fries listed on my hamburger order. The food at Windsor is excellent, well balanced and tasty. They make meals you would cook for yourself. I am including photos of the food here. The bad review with just a piece of toast would have had to been requested by the guest because everyone gets the 4 course meal, unless they want something else. The Administrator met with me and staff to assess my progress and instead of sending me home the next day, determined I was no where near ready to go home and recommended another week. I am so glad they did because the real pain doesn't start until 3 to 4 days after knee replacement and my pain was the worst on Tuesday, a week after my operation. I had over done it with the exercises Enloe had given me to do. You are treated like an individual here and everyone's body is different.

My mother was there for a week. Most of the time her needs were ignored. I went to see her one morning and she had soiled herself because no one came when she pressed the call button. I checked and the call button was not even plugged in. I notified the nurse and she said that the call light remains on when it is unplugged. If that was the case they intentionally ignored her calls for help! After I told them of her situation they assured me they would get to it right away. I left and came back in 2 hpurs and nothing had been done. She was still sitting in the mess. I chased down an aid and she finally cleaned her up. In the week she was in there she deteriorated quickly. I pulled her out and got home care and she is doing better.

My mother went into rehab and then long term care when it became apparent that she would not be able to return home because of the level of care she needed. At first when Medicare was paying I felt the rehab and care my mom needed was more then adequate. Everyone was nice lots of staff and the physical therapists were awesome. When medicare ran out however, and Medi-cal took over; the level of care dropped considerably. It became a nightmare for me to get any information out of the staff including the nurses. Some were nice and helpful but some were downright rude. My mom is consistently over medicated I feel due to the fact that she tries to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. Most likely due to the fact that it takes forever for anyone to answer her call. I can't even count the number of times I went in to the room to find her call button was not in reach and she could not reach her water. They make the residents sit in their wheel chairs for hours because they do not have enough staff.I feel that this nursing home has contributed to the rapid decline of my mother's health. and I have PTSD from dealing with this facility. If you can go somewhere else please do!

The facility is dated and old. The food is truly awful, I sent dinner back uneaten on the first night. The rooms are not private and all are shared. The TV barely works and is smaller than 12 inches. Stay far away from this place. It is no place for rehab and certainly no place to go to die. I'm getting out of here first chance I get tomorrow!!!

I would give them a 0 if it allowed. On the off chance they answer the phone they are unprofessional and can be heard laughing when they answer. They have put me on hold waiting to talk to my father for so long the system hung up on me. My dad tells me all the time that there is no one to take care of him when he needs things . He also begged me for a heater because it is cold there and it is hard to keep warm.
