I had what I thought might be a mini stroke. Went to Whit Fitzgerald Clinic and the staff that saw me were awesome. Made me feel very comfortable and safe. Later that day, I had another problem with what I thought was related to the same thing. The staff at Fitzgerald moved fast and got me a CT scheduled over at Whitfield Regional Hospital very quickly. Everything moved so smooth and timely. To say the least, I was scared and did not know what to expect. The staff of the CT Dept. was very professional and answer every question I had. They were compassionate and explained every procedure to make me feel at ease. Later, I needed to get a copy of my CT scan for another doctor and had no problem getting it from them. A very successful adventure that could have really stressed me out. Thank you big time to the staff and the management of this hospital.........

On 7/28/2023 at 9:00 am, I called the hospital's main phone line 289-4000 as well as scheduling line 289-4200 to find out why I'm getting repeatedly emails about my husband doing his pre-op tests which he already had done five days ago. These line rang for 2 -3 minutes with no answer. Also, I kept getting calls from scheduling about my husband doing a test in radiology that he had alread done a month earlier. I worked in a larger hospital for 27 years, and I have never encountered problems like this. When people call, they expect the phones to be answered in a timely manner.

When you take a 5yo with an allergic reaction, you expect some compassion and some actions. ER doctor on tonight DR. Roberts made it abundantly clear we shouldn’t be there. First time didn’t look at my daughter and sent her home, second time let his lack of compassion and over inflated ego step in the way of care. If you are unable to care for a patient then you should do whatever it takes to see that the needs are met. Not roll eyes and reply in distasteful manner. Quality of care… that’s the expectation. Formal complaint thru HR coming Doc.

My father was a patient in ICU for two weeks and the staff was compassionate and explained every procedure and medication given. The empathy and love shown to my father and family will never go unnoticed. Additionally, the UAB doctors, Radiology, Respiratory, hospitalists, and Dr. Gipson was phenomenal! I am WELL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! Great Job Whitfield Regional!

I wrote a review yesterday that I must apologize for. I’ve had some issues with my neurologist receiving MRI readings and film. After many calls it seems Whitfield has done everything right. issue is either snail mail or at receiving end of test results. The MRI dept has done everything to ensure delivery and called me several times. Ashley Coplin was wonderful and very helpful as well. My apology for my first rating. I would have deleted if I could find that option. 5 STAR REVIEW!!

My grandmother was neglected the whole time she was there. The nurses refused to really msgs to the doctors. She was cold and shaking and she told the nurse and they did nothing for her and didn’t relay it to doc. They wouldn’t give her medicine to cope with the pain they completely ignored all her needs. I wouldn’t go there if it was the last place on earth. Keep driving north and go to Tuscaloosa. Zero stars only reason for one star bc it wouldn’t let me do zero
