Wetumpka Health and Rehabilitation, LLC

My father was in here last this past April. He came in for rehabilitation because he had a fall at his home and the doctor sent him to Wetumpka. He walked in on his own with a walker. He came out in a wheelchair this experience with Wetumpka Health and rehabilitation LLC. was horrible ! Did I mention it was horrible and incredibly nasty he sat in his own excrement for hours before someone would change him if at all.. they are terribly understaffed. The workers had a terrible attitude as though they didn’t want to be there, taking care of other people. I would not bring my cat there to be taken care of. We did make complaints to the staff and were told that it would be taken care of. IT WAS NOT EVER TAKEN CARE OF ! The physical therapy that he received was terrible. He lost muscle mass while he was there because they did not properly exercise him. When we alerted staff that this was happening, they said they would take care of it. If it was possible, I would give them a 5 negative star rating!

Horrible place. Roaches, unsecured doors, dried blood on toilet, medicine not given, lost clothing, patients left covered in feces, family not notified of serious medical changes in their loved ones, uncaring cold nurses. My dad stayed only two weeks and this is what I found every day I went to visit. Please stay away from this atrocious facility.

My mother’s care at Wetumpka Health & Rehab has been great. The staff has been very helpful with all the insurance and financial documents that are required. Kimberly, Gracie,and Minnie have been very compassionate and understanding during this stressful transition for my mother and our family. I would highly recommend this facility. The aide’s and nurses are very attentive to her needs. And are willing to help or answer any questions.

My dad has been at Wetumpka Health and Rehab since he lost mobility last year. The staff work hard and generally do their best to take care of their residents. My dad has shown improvement since he's been in the facility, when he first started he struggled with his mental health and eating enough but the longer he has been there the better his spirits have gotten and he's starting to eat much better. I live out of town so I appreciate that I get regular calls with updates about his heath.

My name is Esther Stewart and I am a long-term patient here at Wetumpka Health & Rehab. I would just like to say that I love it here and this is my home. I am able to hang my family photos and have as many visitors as I would like. I would also like to say that I love my CNAs, nurses and my sweet Kimberly that I've known for since she was a little girl. I would like for the food to be better. I love Ms. Mary in the kitchen and Vickie in activities as well.

I have had 2 family members in this nursing home. My sister has been there for 5 yrs she loves it. The staff has always been very compassionate and caring. I’m always notified if there are any issues with her

I have 2 disabled parents that could no longer care for themselves. Both of my parents were admitted here long term and everyone has been super friendly and so far they have done a wonderful job taking care of my parents!! I am forever grateful.

Clean. Love having someone in charge of my medicine. And the food is okay.
