Westside Children's Therapy - Orland Park North ABA

My son received such amazing service from Westside Oak Lawn—ABA, Feeding, Speech and OT. We loved everyone we worked with. The BCBAs we worked with were phenomenal as well—they communicated with us about everything and we always felt heard and understood. They helped us as parents feel equipped to help our son when he wasn’t there working with his amazing therapists. They provided resources and suggestions—they always went above and beyond for us! We felt supported and guided during the time they worked with our son and we couldn’t be more pleased with his progress. If you are considering Westside services in Oak Lawn, we highly recommend them! They felt like family and we will never forget everything they did for us ❤️

Westside has to be the most compassionate place on the planet, every staff member knows the kids, they are kind, patient and absolutely care about their work. Alexis was amazing with our son who would look forward to his session. He would leave throughly exhausted from having been challenged but through it all they remained as interested in his success as we were.

My daughter has been going here for about a month, and I'm already seeing good improvements, and she is slowly becoming more confident. Both my daughter and I understand the treatment plan, which helps to implement it at home. Kendall is so good at her job, I highly recommend.

Miss Danielle is such an amazing speech therapist, she helped our son so much and he absolutely loved her. She was so good with him.

My personal experience with their billing department has been sub par. I don't recall her name but she had an attitude saying my insurance isn't covering because it's a labor fund (teamcare) and they don't cover speech because it fell under developmental and she wanted to set us up as self pay. At first I thought it was a billing code issue that my son's doctor used so I messaged his doctor then called our insurance and was told by our insurance that they have no exclusions and they have been paying for his services threw EI. Left message for Westside on 3/30 and haven't received a call back on Friday I called Teamcare and spoke with a supervisor. I asked if our benefits were ever verified by Westside and was informed of what I felt was the obvious no. I called with Teamcare rep we left voicemail on Friday 3/30 the rep left message explaining we have coverage...no exclusions. It's clear to me the person who does their billing very clearly didn't even verifiy benefits and in my opinion probably just seen our insurance was labor fund and just assumed no coverage for speech with developmental rather than actuallly verifying. Would not recommend based on the fact that billing tried to set us up as self pay even though our insurance would have covered and that personally really sketched me out. Also the lack of customer service with regards to resolving the issue led to 1 star review. Always check your benefits yourself before Westside tries to set you up as a self pay. It's very weird to me that the owner response is call us so we can apologize. It's not enough that I've wasted so much of my time calling my insurance as well as Westside and they couldn't be bothered to call me after 2 messages last week including 1 message in which I called with a supervisor from my insurance, it's also not enough that their billing employee was probably too lazy to actually call my insurance company but instead decided to make up a lie and what I feel like is trying to scam me and my husband by telling us we don't have coverage with on top of that a smug attitude trying to set us up as self pay. Just feel like this is very sketchy . I can't say for sure but that's sure how it felt. Yeah won't be sending my 2 kids there.

The staff is so helpful even through the pandemic. I wanted my son to have one on one therapy since school was going remote. All of his therapists are great and helpful. The admin staff is also great to communicate with. I highly recommend Westside.

The Oak Lawn facility is AMAZING!
