Westlake Lodge Health and Rehabilitation

My father has been here for several months, after being in several different facilities. He is full care after a massive stroke. But he can talk and tell me anything. He has made the most progress here and even gain weight back. The staff have been wonderful and caring. The building is old and run down and needs lots of maintenance. But dad stays here for the wonderful staff and the physical therapy he actually receives.

This place has major problems, the nurses can be really hit or miss and unreliable. They didnt check on my grandmother and didn't give her the patience and care we could have comparatively given her. Nurses aren't as gentle as they should be it's borderline abusive!! The outside of the building is a little broken down making it a little concerning in regards to accessibility and wheelchairs. When also visiting my grandmother they had her in a VERY bleak room making our family feel worse about our situation. Absolutely depressing facility, if I was held in here I would beg you to pull my plug!!

Was recently "hired" as part of the CNA in training position, started all new processes etc, and seemed to have been ghosted by this company. No email, call or even a text back from when I last talked to them. Should've known better when I was doing more of the question asking then they were me. HIGHLY UNPROFESSINAL! Guess I dodged a bullet working for this company. I would be concerned having my loved ones in this facility seeing how dismissive they were with a potential new Hire.

The oxygen tank was foaming, the concentrator was broken. No one to help my dad to the bathroom, no walker no assistant even though there were 10 nurses sitting at the counter. He asked for a glass of juice it took an hour to get but it sat at the nurses station for the entire time. DON'T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!! THE VA WILL BE NOTIFIED !!!!. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN...

My dad is currently here on hospice. They've been very attentive, caring, empathetic, and compassionate. I would recommend this place to anyone.
