Patient experiences
You can never reach anyone by phone. Forwards to a busy signal. My loved one was left in bed all day except for 10 minutes. They were supposed to be in physical therapy rehab. They went downhill in this place. They are doing much better after leaving. My loved one was recovering from a lung infection. These guys smoked outside her door constantly and it seemed into the room.
My late mother received excellent care; the physical therapists gave maximum effort, and place was clean, with a cute cat on the premises. It was my mother's last two months of living, and this place, and West Hills hospital, eased her "transition."
Staff is very kind & is as helpful as possible. However; this facility has 404 beds & I found it understaffed for the # of patients. My grandmother is a patient & efforts to request for assistance in moving her from wheelchair to bed (she is unable to move alone) took over 1/2 hr. This was not only on one occasion, but 5++. I hope they read and take reviews seriously. Otherwise, grade A for cleanliness & courtesy.
The CNA's have no compassion for their patients. They talk about them to each other. Most of them working there are all related so they keep secrets about what's really going on there. Very hard to get a nice one you must have an advocate that sticks up for you if you are there. Hopefully they get a new director who will take care of what really is going on there.
With gratitude and with much appreciation, I would like to thank West Hills Rehab for their excellent care and truly thank the therapists for the amazing therapy they provided to help me learn how to transfer and be able to take care of some of my needs during the time when my foot is fusing after surgery. Ma Arlyn, PT was extremely helpful, hardworking and caring and made sure to meet all my needs at all times. F
My mom spent here last 3 mos in this facility and I'm very glad of the outcome in terms of her health and recuperation. Thanks to all nurses most especially to RN Jojo and Ms Yani case manager.
This place is horrific! Food is horrible, staff responds to emergency assistance calls IN AN HOUR if you are lucky. I would NEVER send my relative here!! My diabetic meds were forgotten for 2nd straight weekend until I complained!
They made it almost impossible to schedule an appointment even with a written order from the hospital. The receptionist was less than helpful and seemed to have a demeaning tone.
