West Haven Center For Nursing & Rehabilitation

This place is very inresponsible every time I’ll go see my mom she smelled like pee and her diapers was loaded with pee I would call for an aide to change her and had to wait . So I would have to changer her my self . they would hardly never shower her, at times they had her on. Hospital long gowns to put her to sleep . Food was very bad . My mom fell prior to her coming home and no one ever called me to let me know and they never took x rays or had her seen by a doctor when she came home she had bruises on her knee . And hands and couldn’t hardly walk so I took her to the ER , and she had fractured ribs . Ugh it’ was a nightmare . I had to make a police report for negligence and the social workers never made the orders for her coming home meds nor her commode and shower chair with these nurses , this aides and social workers , nurses are all inresponsible. The place stinks as well I’ve called and left messges they never get back to you , TV’s for the patients to watch didn’t even hardly work cable system no good. I think this place needs to be investigated or shut down and I feel bad for a lot of patients there laying in there diaper for hours . This are some rude no educated nursing staff and also social workers . Very sad . I will continue to report this place to the city town till they do something about it . How they like for there family to be treated the way a lot of patients get treated there .

The overall care my mother received while at West haven Center was, at best, uneven. While there are some very helpful hard working staff members, there are just as many who are not engaged and unresponsive.Definitely Has potential to be a 5 star but not there yet ,due to staff shortage and outdated look. I would personally give 3 & 1/2 stars ..

Facility is well maintained, clean and staff is great. Treated my mother with great care and I can’t say enough good things about this place. My mother got the care she needed and is super happy. Huge thank you to the Admissions Director for being so generous and kind to my family during our phone conversations, during our tour and the rest of the staff for taking such good care of my mother. 100% recommended!

I was well satisfied with west haven nursing home they took good care of my dad from begining to end

I was here for almost 3 months to learn to walk again, they have some good staff but way over worked and then they have some bad staff that just needs to be let go. The food is not the best and I know they just got a new DNS and a new Admin. I wish them all the luck. They need to clean house and start over keep all the good people and get rid of the bad eggs, for the moment I honestly would not have anyone I know go there. Mathew is amazing though very nice, carrying and listens when you have a issue.

The facility is clean and well decorated. The staff and nurses are very friendly. The concierge is a very nice man who takes his time to talk to people.

My brother was sent here for rehabilitation and wound care. He was there for over two hours and no one came to get him settled in his room. Cleanliness is definitely not a priority here, as well as a compassionate, caring or concerned staff. Six hours later a nurse finally came in and let him know that they did not have his meds. She said she was going to look at other patients med trays to see if she could find the medications that he needed? This is so unethical in so many ways. Needless to say shortly after this, my brother checked himself out (against medical advice.) He’s better off being home alone where his meds are, and we don’t have to worry about the cleanliness and the thought of his foot becoming more infected from the unsanitary conditions. If you love your family members DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT send them here

Very impressed in the facility despite online ratings. Great atmosphere and treatment all across the board. This place is amazing, if I could I would give it 10 stars I would. Thank you
