West Bloomfield Health & Rehabilitation Center

My husband has been in this facility twice with care for over a month each time. Our experience has been wonderful. Nurses and staff respond within a reasonable amount of time. Weekends are a little more difficult, but in comparison to others, they are way better. Rooms are clean and inviting. Best of all is the physical and occupational therapy, which is excellent. We were able to choose our therapist most of the time; in the times our favorites were not available, we found other therapists to be equally as wonderful. The ice cream social every day was something special to look forward to.and the outside patio is charming. We have had problems pop up, but most have been attended to with care and we have been satisfied. I highly recommend this facility

Not a good place to be. Residents wait almost 2 hrs before they get help. The food was terrible, Some days I had to starve, couldn't eat old stale food, out dated, and feed it right back To you again, and again.

I cannot believe that this place is rated in the top 10 of Michigan. Do they ever visit there? You can NEVER get a nurse or aid to help. Some of them come in and say we don’t do that. So a patient has to lay there in there soiled diaper for hours because the person that came in said I don’t do that. Well who the hell does? Trays left in rooms from breakfast then lunch and flies start to appearing. I hate going there. Although it may look nice, the staffing is HORRIBLE. I get that all these places are probably the same. My mother was in another facility and received the same horrible treatment. If you ask for something it’s like you are putting them out. I sat there in the room for 6 hours and the staff was laughing, making jokes. Yelling. I heard someone say so in so light had been in and the girl said oh just leave her. She’s obnoxious. Really? That to me is unacceptable. Wish my Uncle wasn’t in there.

My 96 year old mother fractured her pelvis and has been at West Bloomfield Health for almost 5 weeks. She had EXCELLENT therapy from both the physical therapists and the occupational therapists. The attending Dr. came 3 days a week and was wonderful at listening and handling all of our questions and concerns. The nurses and nurse assistants were VERY nice; (some more attentive than others) but for the most part ALL were helpful. I would definitely recommend The West Bloomfield Health for rehab care; my mom is going home in 100% better condition than when she arrived there! Thank you to EVERYONE who took care of my mom!!

I am pleased to tell you that this place is top notch. Due to my short stay in the area following my mother's knee surgery, this facility allowed me to spend time with Mom during her first two days prior to my departure back home. For several hours I witnessed the amazing dedication of the staff. Most important, the employees enjoyed working there -- it's bright, clean, with wide hallways and all private rooms...it was evident that the management treat their employees well which transfers to the treatment of patients and families. This facility offers the best opportunity for rehabilitation in the area. A good review cannot offer the gratitude I feel for the warm welcome and excellent care for Mom.

Great place to exact revenge on relatives you never liked. Dying and going to hell would be a relief after leaving this torture chamber. Better to be buried alive then spend one night in this building of sorrows. There should be a sign that states,"Abandon all hope,ye that enter here." Because if your hoping that the staff will take care of you it will be a lost cause .

My mom had an excellent experience here. Attentive social worker, OT and PT. Twenty day stay. Good food. Busy place. Nice room and a good woodsy view. Highly recommend!

My mother resides there. My mother has gotten great care. I haven't had any major concerns. Any small issues are immediately addressed by the staff, who are nice and helpful to mom and our whole family. The facility is clean and well kept, no odors, and the food is good. We're now looking at dad. If he needs 24 hour care, our family loves this facility and he'll also be staying with them. It's a good place.
