I have never been talked down to by a medical office like I have by this office. Please go anywhere else if you are disabled and need real treatment. I tried to get silver ring splints here and was refused help until halfway through my appointment with the hand therapist Lisa I started to sob at how much pain I was in and how all of her advice was not helpful for someone like myself with EDS. She then immediately brought out the sizing kit and started the process to get me sized. My experience with the hand therapy has been nothing but invalidating and extremely unhelpful. She didn’t even know how to use the ring sizers and I had to size them myself which is honestly pretty inaccurate and doesn’t seem ethical. I have been begging the office for months to try to place the order for the splints meanwhile I am dislocating my fingers every single day. I finally got a call back today from the receptionist who has hung up on me nearly every time I call to cancel or schedule an appointment and seems bothered by any interaction with a client. I was told yet again by Shelly that she refuses to learn how to fax the form to my insurance and refuses to help me. She screamed this at me over the phone for the first time and hung up on me in the middle of me speaking. The only reason I ever went to this awful place was because the silver ring splint website verified on their website that they placed an order for splints this same year. I would rather continue to delay this process of getting mobility aids by starting at a new clinic than have to be belittled and treated so poorly like I have here. Save yourself the many months of being treated awful in hopes of receiving good care and try any other hand therapist in the area :(
