Dr Olson is the best. HE gets 5 stars. I dropped this review by 1 star because the office itself is in significant disrepair. A. very bad look. Seems like it hasn’t ben changed in a decade. Not good for business

My 6 year old broke her arm last week. I called and spoke with a woman who was incredibly patient and informative and kind. When we went in for the r-ray, everyone was so nice that my daughter commented on the way home that she loved them and hoped to go back there again soon. It was so nice to get through such challenging experience with my injured child in such a warm, nurturing environment.

Waterbury Orthopaedic Associates has been my family's "go to" practice. We have been very happy with their office staff and physicians. They are very accommodating with tough to fit work schedules, they are very thorough in their examinations and they are not "cut happy" physicians. If the problem can be corrected without surgery, such as recommending physical therapy, they will approach those options. We have had our children here for sports injuries and the physicians have always done what was best for them and were committed to getting them to return to their sport as quickly and safely as possible. I have had knee surgeries by Dr. Olson and elbow issues treated by Dr. Mariani and have been extremely happy with the outcomes of both. We have also seen Dr. Rodin for our son's broken hand, also very happy with his care and ability to get our son back on the lacrosse field. They are tops in our book!

I was in unhappy with my visit to this group. I was going for a second opinion and really was excited about seeing a new physician due to my Existing Doctor was not listening to my concerns after my knee surgery. Dr Marini is who I was scheduled to see. I always felt more comfortable with female physician and was looking forward to my visit. When I went in they initially did X-ray of my knee. Dr Marini comes in and was thumbing through my pre existing notes that were sent to her two weeks in advance as she was doing that she asked why I was there. I explained to her that my doctor I was seeing wasn’t listening to what I was feeling and looking into why I was still feeling this way. She cuts me off and was telling me that I was doctor shopping. I said that was not it I was looking for help in why I was feeling this way. She told me that she wasn’t into cleaning up other people Messes. I felt the air being sucked out of me. She then told I should have made better decisions in choosing my doctor’s. This was a sudden injury and I told her I didn’t expect this and also didn’t keep a list of different doctors in my pocket expecting this to happen. These doctors take paths to help and for me alone don’t feel she kept to that oath. This was my experience with this one physician at this group. In reading this take her advice choose wisely and for me it felt she just didn’t care. Maybe the other physician this group are better at listening but my first impression was that she was no better the the doctor I was seeing. I went for another MRI which led to me needing a second surgery. I just wanted a doctor who cared about me. Thanks for reading my review ! Jason

Bad Experience To sum things up, I had an MRI done on my right knee in 2018 and was referred here. Doctor referred me to juvenile arthritis specialist in Hartford and said that there was nothing physically wrong with my knee. My symptoms didnt get better so I insisted on another MRI after 4 years and chose to see another Ortho practice. He was able to show me the broken cartilage on both MRI's in minutes. Thanks for wasting my families time, money, and, patience.

Had a good experience here, straight to the point and wasn't jerked around. However receiving a voicemail to return a call with no extension and trying to call back only to be given the robo-voicemail is frustrating.
