The Mission Beach location is the best place ever to do physical therapy! It’s such a positive and fun environment. All of the therapists know your name and really care about your progress. They all know how to have a good time, especially during Halloween! Everyone dressed up like minions and totally killed it!

Best PT this side of the Mississippi! Very creative Halloween costumes too.

This is my second time doing physical therapy, but my first time at water & sports. I got to work with both Matt and Jacque and they were both phenomenal. I found that there was not just a focus on recovering my mobility in my leg, but also ensuring that my entire body was ready for returning to hockey by the time my sessions were up. There was a huge emphasis on making sure that I was both moving without pain and in an anatomically correct way. Something that was new to me was biometric feedback, which I got to do after every season. I really enjoyed this because it gave quantifiable feedback on exactly how I was progressing. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough for physical therapy and hopefully I never have to return, but if I do, it’ll 100% be with this group of physical therapists!

I found Water and Sports PT after having a terrible experience at another PT location and could not be more thankful that I did. Hannah and Andrew helped me to rebuild the strength after a torn ligament in my foot. They are extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, personable, creative w/ exercises, and honestly fun. I looked forward to PT sessions with them and would likely still be seeing them if insurance would cover it. I can't say enough positive things about each them personally or professionally plus the rest of the W&S staff... shoutout to my dance partner for teaching me how to Dougie.

I just finished eight weekly sessions with Hannah and Andrew and couldn't be happier with the outcome! My body feels better than it has in over a year. I highly recommend this facility and, in fact, have already done so. I'm happy to have the tools I need to continue with my progress when I return to my home state. Thank you!

Dr. Dave and his associates did an effective, professional job in my rehabilitation of two total knee replacements in a friendly, clean environment.

I owe a lot to W&S Physical Therapy, I came in with horrible low back pain and sciatic nerve pain down my left leg that was making it difficult for me to sleep, drive, and do anything athletic. Luckily I was introduced to Hannah and Andrew at Water and Sports PT and they were nothing short of amazing!! They were so sweet, knowledgeable, and informative every time I came in. I worked with them for 4-5 months performing a variety of stretches, exercises, and hands-on therapy, and now am back to living a healthy and active life with minimal to no pain! I’ve recommended Hannah and Andrew to two friends already and can’t say enough good things about them and Water & Sports PT in general. I’m so glad I decided to give them a call and reach out because they brought me back to health 100% (Also: Hannah recommends some great glute exercises if you are lacking glute strength, and thanks to her not only does my body feel great but I have more cake than lil’ Debbie!!)

In April of this year I had an L4/L5 spinal fusion with disc removal and placement of 2 plates and 2 screws. I had five weeks of 2x a week land based therapy in Maryland with minimal improvement in balance, mobility, core strength, and relief from muscle tightness and spasm. I came out to the San Diego area to care for my grandson, did my research, and chose Water & Sports Physical Therapy Coronado My Neurosurgeon was disappointed in my progress and ordered six weeks of 3x a week therapy. Within my first land based visit, I was evaluated and given several new exercises to do at home. The real difference , for me, has been the pool therapy. After one session my balance had improved so much I didn't need a cane for stability. The water provides the opportunity to vary resistance by changing the speed at which you perform movement exercises. If it starts to hurt, you just slow it down. The therapists are definitely working to stretch my muscles with various exercises as well as hands on stretching. With three pool sessions in, my improvement has been remarkable. I have not had to rely on any medication but sometimes after a tough workout my ice pack is my best friend! I would highly recommend this facility for everything ranging from post-op recovery to sports injuries. It is the best! My therapists are friendly, professional, and make me want to succeed.
