The team at W&Sports PT was way beyond my expectations....right on time, VERY knowledgeable about my condition, and made the therapy there as comfortable and "pleasant" as therapy could be. AND actually made me look forward to my weekly visits there. With their treatment plan, I am thrilled with the results, and recommend them highly.

Torry is an awesome PT. His hands-on/manual work on my lower back helped me recover from my injury way faster. And he surfs, which is a plus…. as he knows what motions I need to excel in what I do.

I cannot recommend Water & Sports PT more. I had a crazy knee injury skiing in December 2022 and was feeling really low and uneasy following my surgery (ACL + MCL). I knew the road to recovery would be long but I can wholeheartedly say that the team at Water & Sport is the reason I am where I am today. Within a few short months I went from barely able to walk (brace + pain) to within 5 months golfing, jogging and back to low impact workout classes feeling stronger than before. They have clean facilities and an incredible team of patient, kind and knowledgable people. 10/10 would recommend this location and company as a whole for your Physical Therapy needs … huge thank you to CJ & Karina in particular for the help and care these past few months, you guys are the best!

I went to Water & Sports in Carmel Valley for an injury and I couldn't have made a better choice. CJ, Karina, Sam, Torry and Matt are a great group, are friendly & helpful, and they'll make sure you're in better shape by the end of each session. I'm definitely going to miss having PT as part of my schedule, but will no-doubt be back should I need them in the future.

Dr Regala was very accommodating and really knows what he is doing. I brought my mom in for a consultation and in less than 10 minutes he was able to identify her pain. He has her on a plan right now to do some neck and shoulder exercises and she is feeling a lot of relief. She was exercising her shoulder before but wasn’t doing it correctly so the pain was still there. We love this place, the staff was very accommodating and Kristine was great at getting us in timely. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family. 🙂 Kathleen N.

My journey with Water and Sports Physical Therapy began over ten years ago when I began rehabilitation from my ACL knee surgery. Back then, Dr. Goldfarb helped me finish my road to recovery, and ever since I’ve been going back to WSPT throughout the years. Whenever I’ve had an injury that wasn’t healing fast enough, these guys deliver. My most recent injury was a bout with medial epicondylitis (“golfer’s elbow”), a condition from I probably developed from my active lifestyle of CrossFit and indoor rock climbing. I worked with Dr. Randi Kinney out of the Carmel Valley location, my first time working with someone other than Dr. Goldfarb, but my experience proved to be nothing less than positive. Dr. Kinney’s friendly, but professional, demeanor instantly put me at ease. She put me through a series of exercises to diagnose the pain I was experiencing and decisively came up with a plan for treatment. She answered any questions and concerns I had throughout my recovery, and I genuinely felt she was committed to getting me all better. She applied innovative treatment through “cupping,” a technique that involves suction to break up fascia between muscle groups and release tension around elbow, as well as progressive home exercises. At the start of every session she’d take notes to track my progress, ask me what worked and didn’t work, and adjust my treatment accordingly. The facilities at the Carmel Valley location is small, but the staff works effectively with what they have. They are very professional, friendly, courteous, and attentive. With their positive and motivational attitudes, they worked with me on my physical therapy exercises and made sure I executed them with correct form. For insurance and appointments, Kristine was fantastic at communicating effectively with me to schedule appointments (which can sometimes be challenging to get the time slots I wanted) and resolve any loose end with insurance. It took a little over four months, but my medial epicondylitis is gone, and I’m back to doing the things I love to do. I have a strong degree of confidence that I’ll be going back to WSPT when I encounter any future physical ailments.

This is from mom: “I had a rotator cuff tear and frozen shoulder of the left shoulder in 2017. It was very painful. I could not sleep at night, nor could my shoulder move at all due to the acute pain. My orthopedist said I needed a surgery, but should try physical therapy first before the operation. I started physical therapy at “Water & Sports Physical Therapy Carmel Valley” on Feb. 13, 2017. The shoulder pain and range of motion got better and better. After 22 treatments (ended on May 30, 2017), a miracle happened. I could move my left shoulder freely without any pain! I no longer needed the surgery! This would not have happened without Water & Sports! Thank you Dr. CJ Regala!! Even my primary care doctor was impressed! She said she would recommend her other patients to Water & sports if they need physical therapy.”
