Water & Sports Physical Therapy

I did physical therapy with Doug, Andrew, & Brittany, (and Carter, who isn't there anymore) at the Water and Sports Physical Therapy branch by Scripps/Torrey Pines Rd (on General Atomics Ct) for many months for an injury. I called them my "Dream Team." All of these PTs are excellent and it has been a great experience. Have made optimal recovery from a serious injury with their tremendous and heartfelt help and support. They give each client a lot of one-on-one time throughout the hour session -- much more so than most places are able to offer. Their level of expertise is very high. They are always positive and encouraging. They personally engage with their clients, making PT as enjoyable/doable as it can possibly be. They seemed to know exactly how hard to push and when to push, and every time I would hit a plateau in my recovery, they'd pull out a new bag of tricks (exercises and manual manipulations) to get me to the next level. My orthopedic surgeon and I are very pleased by my recovery and we attribute it to these PTs. Based on scheduling, I spent the most time working with Andrew, and he is such a great guy. In addition to being excellent at his job, he is entertaining, interesting, funny, and was super motivating with his warm and caring personality. Other pluses: this is a large facility with a lot of equipment and different therapy options, so it never gets boring or routine. It's always clean. Their facility bathrooms/locker rooms are very nice as well, with all amenities. Angi, who helps with scheduling, was fantastic and very responsive to texts and calls. She is really on the ball. Highly recommend.

I tore my ACL, and the team at Water and Sports Physical Therapy have done such an amazing job building the strength in my knee/legs that my pants don't fit anymore because my thighs are swoll.

Water and Sports Physical Therapy is perhaps the best providers of care I have found to date in the physical therapy space. The entire team starting with Dr. Kevin Grayson work tirelessly to always help patients maintain solid progress throughout the course of their treatment. Cristen keeps patients on track through their exercise protocols and constantly motivates them to keep pushing themselves to new limits of performance, range of motion, function, mobility and stamina. They work hard to help patients overcome pain, move freely and independently. Kevin has helped me overcome significant musculoskeletal, knee and hip issues and I always feel 200% better each time return for treatment. They are in a nutshell the "A" team! Marcy Rogers

Such an amazing group of doctors that are truly helping you work towards total health. Kersten and Lauren helped me so much in such a short amount of time! The environment there is very friendly and welcoming... I always felt comfortable exercising there and I always felt supported throughout my workouts and progress. I feel so much better after working with them and I’m so lucky I got to go to such an outstanding place with outstanding doctors!

Doug Hoeck is amazing!!! He has the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness...topped off by 100% competence... I chose him, even though he wasn't on my plan..and he never disappoints!!!
