We have had three encounters in the past year with different areas of the hospital, ER and thoracic surgery. All three of them were totally unacceptable. When my husband had surgery to place a feeding tube the floor nurses would not respond to any of requests or concerns. My husband was a fresh surgery patient, a brittle cardiac patient and diabetic. He de sated into the 60s and I begged for him to have oxygen. They replied " I'll see if respiratory wants to come up.". They never did and I sat there all night telling him to take another big deep breath. He had cardiac abnormalities all night and they never answered any of the alarms. If o2 equipment was in the room I would have put it on myself but they had no tubing, masks, controller, no suction canister ECT in the room. I am an RN and used to teach at a nursing school. I have never seen this poor of care. We weren't given ANY discharge instructions on how to work the tube or anything. What if I wasn't a nurse ,and you sent a person with a fresh J tube and no instructions on how to use or care for it, home alone. What happened to turn, cough, deep breath ECT..... He was not provided with any care except meds and then they made a med error on him because they would not listen. Today he had to have a tube replaced and the interventional radiologist was so arrogant and full of himself, he had little to no concern about the patients. As family members we were blown off because he wasn't going to put the new tube in as ordered he was going to replace with the smaller one, he said that's all he had. We had to go to the surgeons office and get his APN and nurses involved to get the correct tube placed. He then put in a larger tube that did not have the features that were altered. We had to get the DME people and a dietician involved just to get the tube useable . He didn't not obtain a viable, legal "informed" consent for this procedure. My husband had already been given two tablet of Valium, Versed and Fentanyl when they asked for his consent. My daughter and I were right there and they never notified us of any changes to the plan until the procedure was done. When I confronted the radiologist he again blew me off, said " well, I am fine with it". And walked out of the room. They said they gave us info and discharge instructions in the paper they gave us but there was only the instruction of to not take two of his meds for 48 hrs. No wound care instructions, how to use the tube, signs and symptoms of what to look for. NOTHING. My husband got a serious staph infection from improper tube care and leaving the flush out open to Rome air ,near the sink where they splashed and contaminated the flush and syringe and never changed either or cleaned them. Nursing 101, teaches better practices than this. What happened to first do no harm and taking care of the patients body, mind and soul? An unclamped IV stick should not be allowed to produce a puddle of blood on the floor, all over the patient and bed either. Totally poor care and practice.

I had a very good labor and delivery experience here. When I came to triage, it was calm and quiet. Once in my labor room, my night nurse, Megan, was very helpful as we started my induction. Adalaide was my nurse the next morning until I delivered my baby. She was a fantastic nurse. She listened to my requests and was encouraging in my desire to birth without pain medication. She helped me labor in different positions to encourage baby down. And when I reached the point of wanting the epidural, she made sure I got it quickly and did not question me changing my mind. I appreciated how she effectively did her job and also made me feel cared for. Thank you for helping make this birth experience much better than my first birth experience at Willow Creek.

Just gave birth to my first baby here several weeks ago. Pro: Labor and delivery nurses are very nice, they use a peanut ball to help with laboring down while you have an epidural. The on call pediatrician was also very kind. They were clear and open to accepting or rejecting Vitamin K, Antibiotic ointment, and or the Hep B vaccine. They also allow you to eat popsicles while in labor. Con: Got the stomach flu from someone working the labor and delivery floor and was sick 48 hours after being discharged with my baby causing me to go to the ER two days postpartum. They Laid me down too far after my epidural resulting in my blood pressure crashing, passing out, and throwing up. Threw up right before giving birth. My husband was helping me more than the nurses were at trying to keep it in the bag. He had to request that I get cleaned up after so that baby could go on me. They gave little to no guidance on postpartum care for mom or baby after leaving the hospital. There is little to no communication between the nurses and Dr. For mom and for baby so we got a lot of mixed messages on when we could leave. They lost our charts as we were being discharged. Also, you can only push on your back. Can’t do delayed cord clamping over 45 seconds.

After knee replacement surgery I was given a double dose of the pain medication. I could not stay awake. I was accused of bringing other drugs in so was my daughter. They screamed at me when I was trying to walk after the gave me 2 hydrocodone which put me to sleep. I didn't ask for any pain pills. I did ask for something for nausea. Finally they stopped giving me the hydrocodone. Before the were wanting to send me to a nursing home I may be 70 but I'm no way do I need a nursing home.I go shopping for hours, go to baseball games and drive everywhere I go. My first knee replacement surgery I went home the next day. The second knee replacement was 6 days of them over doee sing with pain medication. Then yelling at me because I couldn't stay awake. I never want to be in that hospital. This isn't the first time of being treating horribly. Mercy in Rogers is so much netter

Surgeon was good. Staff was horrible. You can flat line there and they wouldn't respond until your dead. The aides have no bedside manner. I had major surgery on my abdomen and a resection and they would just watch me struggle to get comfortable in the bed when I wasn't supposed to be putting stress on the area.. I didn't say anything but I made note. After surgery I'm put in the room and noone thought to move the tray and water near me. The staff don't care. Only time I've been treated worse was at Mercy Hospital ER in Rogers. Thinking seriously of moving out of state before the poor healthcare in Arkansas kills me.

Shoutout to Rachel, Connie, Jake and Amelia (Joint Center Nurses), Carina and Shari (Surgical Services Nurses) Gary (2nd floor Greeter) Dr Hanby (Surgeon) I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding care and support I experienced during my recent stay at the Joint Center within your hospital. I want to commend your remarkable team for their extraordinary friendliness, knowledge, welcoming demeanor, and respect for patients. From the moment I stepped into the surgical registration, II was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome by you Gary, reception staff. Their friendliness put me at ease and made the beginning of my journey toward recovery a positive one. The nurses and medical professionals who attended to me were both exceptionally knowledgeable and compassionate. They took the time to thoroughly explain my treatment plan, patiently answered my questions, as well as questions about themselves. I felt like I was part of their team with my care. Their kindness and professionalism made a significant impact on my confidence with my healing process. I have had 7 experiences with hospitals and their staff which there were good nurses, but not the whole staff like I experienced here. For this, I want to say with my deepest appreciation, thank you!

Maternity, labor and delivery are the worst. Very bad experience here. My niece suffered so much on her labor. Luckily I have never delivered here but Willow Creek is the go to place. Very wonderful doctors at Willow Creek and employees.
