I understand that a few years ago there were some real negatives. However I was in for physical rehab in the first two weeks of March of this year 2015 and they knew what they were about. I could barely stand when I arrived and I walked out in 12 days!!! And the food was better than some restaurants!!! Not maybe gourmet but very good. By comparison, there was some food at Saint Joseph that I literally could not eat!! Villa Campana isn't a resort.....but the physical therapists were Excellent!!!! They worked me hard twice a day and did so with care and good humor.

My Mom was here for a little over 3 years. This place is truly one of the worst places ever. My mother went through many bed sores, rashes, left on a bed pan for hours. Wasn't given her medication in a timely manner. Actually, witnesses this! In fact when we would go visit her for hours we witnessed the call light being on for over an hour before someone would come in her room and then when they did they were extremely rude to her. ( As if she was a bother) Myself and my Sister talked to the Director at the time about our Mother's care and they insured us that things would change and that they were going through staff changes. Things still stayed the same and I felt like they would leave my Mother to die everyday, mom fell Ill and needed to go to the hospital and it took them way to long to respond to her and her needs. My Mom was so scared to be there, so scared to say something in fear that they would come and treat her bad, as this also happened after complaining of a nurse, she purposefully didn't come in my Mother's room. I just want to say that my Mom has now passed on and I want everyone to know that this is a terrible place to have your loved ones. Absolutely, if they would have taken better care and and addressed all her health needs in a timely manner I do believe my Mom still might be here today! Shame on them for running a place such as this! We trusted you to take care of our Mother! You did the complete opposite of what you commient to saying you do!

Great therapy staff. Especially i the occupational therapy department and physical therapy department. Sandy in occupational therapy was amazing. She was kind and caring to my mom who has dementia and was able tp get her to do exercises and get out of bed when others couldn't. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a great place for rehab.

I wish I could give this place a 0 for a rating... however, I guess the one star can go out to the occupational and physical therapy staff because they were the only decent staff there. I am a 22 year old female and was sent to this "rehabilitation hospital" directly from the hospital due to the fact that I had a broken foot as well as had severe blood clots in my legs and couldn't walk. The minute I was wheeled into this facility and was shown my room, I had a gut feeling that something wasn't right. The staff was extremely rude and the my neighbor/roommate in the bed next to me had her call light on for over an hour and no one was assisting her. While I was here I witnessed some of the most inhume and down right unacceptable acts towards the patients. Everytime you would need something, the call light would be on for hours before a CNA would even come in... and when they would come in, they would turn the call light off and say "what do you want" and then would never follow through with any request. They would leave my roommate on the bed pan for hours causing her to get bed sores and open wounds and wouldn't feed her. She had severe neuropathy and wasn't able to feed herself. They would yell at her telling her that yes she could.... My brother would come in to visit and we had to make sure she would have water and was getting food. Its completely unacceptable the way that this sweet lady was treated. UNBELIEVABLE. I really hope and pray to God that she is okay and still alive. Next... I have no idea why the hell this place is called a rehabilitation hospital.... What is 15 minutes of arm exercises a day? That is NOTHING. Most rehabilitation hospitals have you doing up to 3 hours of PT a day. Not 15 minutes and then you being stuck in your bed the entire rest of the day. I was there to learn how to gain strength in my legs and walk... None of that happened.... The OT and PT staff were nice but I by far needed more help than I had received. While there, I was in an extreme amount of pain. I would ask them to contact the hospitalist because I knew something wasn't right. It would take several requests before they would contact him. I really needed to go back to the hospital but that never happened. It got so bad there that I was ready to leave AMA. The directors and staff there are disrespectful and rude. Straight up. It took several days before they would let me leave. I needed to leave because I was NOT getting the help that I needed. It's pretty messed up that Jail inmates get treated better than the patients at Villa Campana. Two days after I was able to leave this "rehab hospital"... I ended up back in the ER and admitted for almost a month to TMC. It turns out that my blood clots were so extensive that they were from my ankles bilaterally all the way up causing occlusion in my inferior vena cava as well as renal veins... I had to have life saving surgery to remove the blood clots. Please if you consider sending your loved one here or are being sent here yourself... Look into this place. It is a joke. I honestly almost contacted the local news to have this place investigated due to the severe neglect of the patients. However was unable due to being in the hospital. This place needs to be shut down.

Rating this place is zero stars!! I would never recommend no one to this terrible place!! My mother was doing a little better until she got at Villa Campana! She has dementia and only been here about 1 week 1/2!! She was not eating, they left her to die just like 2 days ago knowing that she was not eating, her blood pressure went down to like 80/60 she has another infection and is currently in ICU with kidneys completely shutdown!! It is not over yet!! They will be hearing from us or someone soon that's gonna take care of this matter!! THINK TWICE BEFORE BRINGING YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS TERRIBLE PLACE!!

Think long and hard before you put a loved one here for any reason. My loved one went in for rehab. Was able to stand and transfer when discharged from the hospital. Almost given the wrong meds, and given 13 meds at one time, plus meds that her PCP discontinued. They should never ask the patient about diet, when they have no intention of giving the patient what they care eat. Simple plain oatmeal was horrible. They should never rely on the family to do the staffs job.I had no problems helping out, but to hear that "she's a nurse she can take care of the patient while she is here" doesn't cut it with me. The lack of good incontinence care caused a massive UTI and C diff that was found upon arrival at a new rehab center. No one should be in a brief and not checked on for 5 and one half hours. The patient is now under the care of Hospice, and shouldn't be. UPDATE: Patient died due to infections that happen at Villa Campana, was never able to recover.

They have no infection control in place. No gloves, hand sanitizer or hand washing. I was there for less than 1 day & left after I told my surgeon of the horrible conditions. One person, giving out medications had a diog under her arm . Again, never wading hands. I've reported them to OSHA & the health department. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

It would be a good place, and becomes safe,if some employees get out, specifically one nurse, who knows nothing about Wound care and it's not her duty and not her responsibility to change the dressing. . Food is good, people are friendly and professional, management is good, but every one agrees that even one bad employee can give a bad impression on the all facility. .
