Send your loved ones anywhere but here! Do not believe anything that Kristi, the director says to you, everything she tells you is sent down from corporate. My dad had to go to the hospital numerous times due to staff negligence. They often left him soaked in urine and feces and he ended up with horrible infections. He had kidney disease, and they couldn't even manage to keep him safe & clean. He fell numerous times also. Hartford Hospital urged us not to send him back the last time he was hospitalized. He was too sick to try and move somewhere else at that point. Sue in the Rec dept is very compassionate and truly cares for all the residents. That's the only positive thing I have to say. They often have agency nurses and aides who are the worst. I could list so many instances where this place failed my father and our family. The rooms are filthy and the food is cold and the quality is awful. His clothes often went missing with no explanation. He was on title 19 and they are still 3 months later ( we lost him) they are trying to bill us. I'll end with, if you are looking for quality, compassionate care, do NOT send your loved one here.

I absolutely love the team at Vernon! Healthcare challenges are mounting across the board-hospitals, nursing homes, rehab facilities-no one is immune, however the staff here provide Quality Care to its residents’ that is unmatched. This is the only place I would bring a loved one.

My dad spent 6 weeks at Vernon Rehabilitation. The facility was very clean. The meals were good and just the right portion. The CNA staff were all outstanding especially Kelly and Amanda. The nursing staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had. The laundry staff gets extra kudos for finding dads lost hearing aid! Christine the activity director is a gem even though my more than stubborn dad said no to most activities she still gave it her best shot and June the social worker is a rockstar. That woman runs her legs off every day and still found time to text or call me when I needed help. Maryann the front desk lady gave my Suri so much ❤️ 🐾🐾❤️ I am grateful to all the staff and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart

The care at the rehab was top notch. Absolutely wonderful - the room was modern, the area was quiet and clean and the care was outstanding! The attention to detail was amazing - kind, considerate and thorough. Would choose them again if needed. Thank you to all there!

This is late coming but better late than never. My mother inLaw was in Vernon rehab and she didn’t have any complaints. The staff was pleasant and her needs were met. I would always choose this place over any of the others out there.

My wife was there for rehab after her partial hip replacement. Great PT, solid nursing, (Christy was wonderful), and the social worker was very helpful and knowledgeable, (June). The facility was clean, the CNA's were good, (especially Lori, who was outstanding). The only gripe would be the food. Small amounts and unappetizing. Despite that, VM gets a solid 5 stars.

I’m having very good experience with having my mother there! No complaints. Staff is always really good to the both of us, and very friendly.Witch helps with getting them to want to work harder. Personality is always very important to me, and when the staff gets along good with the patients, it always makes her better experience for her and the whole family .Thank you!

The CNA, Zen, is a wonderful worker. She has a tremendous amount of compassion for her patients. I hope that if I ever am in such a facility I get someone like her. Kathleen Callahan
