Not a good experience for my husband. The physical therapy was great but the rest was awful. Food was not only awful but very very cold. He couldn't eat it. Someone forgot to put bed alarm on and he woke up to go to bathroom not thinking and coming out slipped in water and fell. No telling how long he laid there before being found. Went to visit and stay the night and found him delirious with fever. 102.5 to be exact. No call button or phone was in reach of bed. Ended up in ER and readmitted to hospital with diagnosis of being septic.

My healthy very active 67 yo husband had an intracranial hemorrhage at the pickleball court September 2023. Even though he had never been sick, had perfect attendance at any place (factory) he worked, because of his age none of the medical facilities have him much hope. VSRH was the only facility that would take the time to do a review. They accepted him 2/3/24, he could barely sit in the side of the bed, but on Saturday 2/4/24 OT have him his first shower since that life changing day, and they along with the entire Team of PT, ST, physicians, dietary & nurses worked with him consistently everyday. Each specialty spent a minimum of 1.5 hrs daily 5 days a week for 3 weeks. We Nick named these 3 ladies, Guns, OT, Roses, ST & Daisy, PT. In their kind hearted approach they all gave him everything they had and would not let him give up on himself. When we left on 2/23/24, although his road was going to be long he stepped up in our truck with confidence he could beat this, and he's improved every day. I told him daily counting down the days to replacing his cranium we would be going to The Real Rehab.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!!! The staff here are horrible and treated my father like garbage, they were rude when we visited and my father was miserable the whole time there the reason he was there was Vanderbilt's fault as well, he works at Vanderbilt picking cases and he fell at work but Vanderbilt did not give him comp for it DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE FALL HAPPENED AT WORK. he could barely move his hands, but instead Vanderbilt made him use his pto and sick days. Unless it's an emergency, DO NOT USE VANDERBILT, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE ON TOP AND THERE OVERSIZED PAYCHECKS THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS OR EMPLOYEES!!!

The PT and OT departments did a great job with my dad. Otherwise, he got very little from the nursing staff, the dietary staff, and the medical directors of the facility. They wanted to send him home three days before he was supposed to have another procedure at Vanderbilt, which is across the street. We appealed it he decision. The supposedly independent organization only reviewed notes from Stallworth and would not speak to us directly. They truly don’t care about anything but the bottom line. If your discharge planner in the hospital recommends this place I would run. I truly wish we had chosen another facility. Besides the medical directors, the second worst people to deal with is the case management department. They are truly a bunch of careless condescending people. Please don’t leave your family members unsupervised in this crazy environment. They left my dad in the bed all weekend after a hip fracture. If you run across Kara tell her she should “step up” and resign. Nothing was set up in preparation for home PT and OT. Case Management lied to me the day he was discharged and stated it was.

I stayed 3 weeks at Stallworth and I was immensely impressed with the quality of care I received and the expertise of the staff. The folks in OT and P T were outstanding and went above and beyond to help me develop strength and have skills to take home. The nursing staff was outstanding, especially Jim and Mary the wound care

My partner suffers from Glioblastoma, he had a blood cloth one month ago and after this he can’t walk… they do a excellent job but we need to change the facility…on this journey we have met absolutely wonderful people, Vanderbilt and Stallworth Hospital are some of those that have marked our lives for the better, for their patience, kindness, excellent medical care, nurses, therapists, physiology, case worker, care partner.. . Thank you

My husband was blessed to be placed in Stallworth after a 2 week stay and surgery at Vanderbilt, after a severe fall last October. We were from St Louis and were treated like family. The house keeper, cafeteria staff, entrance greeter, maintenance were lovely. The PT and OT were excellent. The nursing staff were good. The discharge social worker compassionate and knowledgeable. There are varying degrees of care in any facility but we found this to be wonderful! Thank you to all we met and sorry I never THANKED you all sooner!
