My brother has been at this facility for almost a year. he has TBI injury and on trek and feeding peg. Its been a lot of ups and downs. His personal care has been neglected badly. Hes been in and out of hospital for very severe bed sores and neglect. Dhs has been out on several occassions. Now theres hardly any permanent staff just agency people who dont know what they are doing or know anything about residents. Very unorganized to say the least. want to move him,but not everyone takes trek residents.

My mother is a resident living at Vally Ranch. It has been hard on our family because we can not visit. I know they have some visitation hours set up during the week but it is very inconvenient for us because we all do work. Even with duo video its inconvenient. My mom is not getting any better she has gotten worse since being at Vally Ranch. She was sent out to the hospital for a very bad UTI and sepsis and now it seems as though she's really going down hill. It's hard enough having to make the decision to put her in a nursing home. But not being able to see her and her health is failing daily is harder. I know we are going threw this pandemic and all want to be safe. But if the weekend is the only time available for family to visit they should at least consider a weekend visit.

My father-in-law was admitted here 2 to 3 weeks ago and every time we have someone visit his sheets are dirty. After telling them we have to sit there and watch them be changing or it’ll be the same sheet as the day before. I asked the nurse how he is doing she started telling me but as soon as my wife walked to the bathroom she said she couldn’t tell me anything because I’m not on the hippa report. ( I was btw) she also asked me how much I knew about certain things I said “I’ve learned about them in RN school but I don’t know much” she replied “well I’m sure you have a long way to go” who acts like this we are trying every day to move him from this place so my advice is never send them there in the 1st place.

My husband was only there 8 days. He aged 30 years in 3 days and died of renal failure, shock, and an infection. They did not monitor his fluid intake. Once he was taken by ambulance to the hospital no one called to check on him. They did not know he had died when his son went by a day after he died to pick up his effects. The one phone call I received was their concern about being paid. I chose the place because several directors recommended it after it had changed hands. The director of nursing is good and I think she has her hands full weeding out the nursing staff that obviously aren’t in it for their caring skills.

The pay is ok, but not worth it with all the drama that comes with the job. Also the Administrator there is so rude and do not no how to talk to her employees and she cuts you NO slack CNA mostly was a learning experience.

This was a great place to work at the beginning but after don after don an administrator after administrators trying to come in a change things to fit her or what she thinks good but only people that suffers is the residence and employees and employees families it's sad the way things have changed out there me personally I wouldn't put my worst enemies parents in that facility because of the way things are going and is Sad because I feel bad for the residents from where started to way it is now and they may get upset me but that's just the way I feel and I'm not the only one that can say that
