$484/physical therapy session using Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Insurance. I was told on the phone, that my appointments were going to cost $80/session. After my 4th session, I received a bill for over $2,000, and I had to pay it, since I had nothing in writing. Each session lasted 45 minutes, that includes 15 minutes with a warm pad, one therapist for everybody. I received no plan to do at home and/or to remember all the exercises. I searched online and developed my own therapy routine.

UM Physical Therapy has always offered me the most professional, friendly and attentive service. I had to seek them out twice for different problems, and they have been awesome. I have had the opportunity to work with most therapists and they are all very professional and dedicated to help their patients through rehabilitation. The assistants and administrative staff have also been very kind and helpful at all times. I would recommend UMPT to anyone trying to bounce back after being injured. They have never let me down. Having said that, I do not understand why other patients would complain about them closing the clinic during a global pandemic, especially considering that they are offering TeleHealth appointments.

This University of Miami Physical therapy, is completely a joke starting form how they handle your appointments all the way to the very unprofessional staff they have. This location doesn’t know how to handle an issue and decided to close the facility instead. cancelling all the appointments while everything else in the area is using different precautions and still running just fine, including places where thousands of people pass through daily and this includes as well their own university right next door. Hopefully because of this decision made by the department of the UM physical therapy, we as patients are not going to pay the consequences losing all the progress obtained in months of dedication along all the hrs spent to drive back and forth to the location and the amount of times took off for it. I wish you would consider every aspect on how to handle better this issue thinking of our recovering.

U Miami PT charged me $781 after insurance for one appointment. That appointment consisted of doing shoulder exercises with a band and getting a massage from a PT student. What a scam.
