UnityPoint Health - Meriter - Therapy Central

I initially liked my experience at this clinic, but lately, I have found my OT to be extremely insensitive and blaming. Even though my rehab is far from over, I am not going to continue going to a place where my entire person feels so invalidated and maltreated.

One appointment. One hour. Billed almost $900 to my insurance. My part - $155. One appointment billed separately to 3 (1st - evaluation - $550. Then - billed at 15 minute increments. I apparently had 2 15-min sessions then). And - the PT was unsure of what the cause of my severe pain was. I will NEVER go to a PT again at Meriter, and I will absolutely make sure I ask what the exact costs are going to be before I ever consider this again. They are going to bankrupt us all.

This location is the Therapy Central of Unity Point Meriter. I've been going there for occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. All of the therapists are absolutely excellent. They really care and tailor the therapy to fit your needs.

I saw two different therapists here for rehab following an ACL repair, and my experience with both of them was very poor. They were insensitive and unknowledgeable, and their biggest contribution to my recovery was to push me to sprain my knee twice, setting me back nearly half a month overall.

I saw two physical therapists here and both were just excellent. One helped me recover my balance after a stroke; then I was helped immeasurably by the physical therapist who gave me exercises to overcome the pain of sciatica.

Excellent care by occupational, speech, physical therapists. Friendly, caring staff, sensitive to needs and challenges of their patients.

Wonderful staff and great therapy experiences with every therapist I worked with. They really cared about helping me improve my life.
