Ultimate Treatment Zone Phyiscal Therapy

I recently completed a series of treatment sessions with John Utz at Ultimate Treatment Zone with excellent results. Over several years, I had developed bursitis in my hips that lead to sharp pain and many sleepless nights. John addressed these concerns using a variety of modalities and within a few sessions we were seeing good results. I am now pain free and so thankful to John for his excellent treatment. I just finished four months of pt with John Utz after choosing to receive regenerative medicine v. hip replacement surgery. I have had pt at several different providers; and none of them provided the intense individual concentration that John provided me. He is clearly professional and translates his years of knowledge of the field in clear and understand way that the patient recalls the reason for the exercise and the benefit that it provides to their desired goals. He has a "hawk eye" that ensures that you are doin the exercises correctly. He provides motivation to the patient to maximize the exercises but provides limits when recovery is prolonged. I have had a bothersome pain in my right glute and hamstring that became chronic and unmanageable the past few months. After just 3 sessions, I am beyond delighted to report that pain is not only close to being resolved, but that I have learned functional ways to sustain my recovery. I have been to physical therapy in the past, but left feeling discouraged that my issues and concerns were not fully considered nor treated. John got right to the issue, addressed it, and after one more session we should be done. After my rotator cuff surgery, I was in need of physical therapy. The Ultimate Therapy Zone was an excellent choice for me. The office staff have worked diligently to help me get appointments scheduled so there wouldn’t be a break in my treatment. John and his team are a perfect blend of professionalism, skill, compassion, and patience. John explains each exercise and movement so I understand what to expect. He is keenly aware of my injury and works with precision to lesson my pain and helps me regain strength and mobility. He gives me his undivided attention and I have never felt the appointment was rushed. I would highly recommend The Ultimate Therapy Zone because everyone needs to have the ultimate care this place gives.

Starting in January, I was experiencing pain in my right leg. It gradually worsened until I saw John. At the first visit with him, he recommended trying dry needling. It was amazing. Immediate relief of the pain in my thigh. After that, we worked on other aspects of my leg pain issue. Due to the nonspecific symptoms, it was difficult to pin down the best way to treat, but John wouldn't give up. After a couple months, I am now back to walking normally and climbing stairs without problems. My sleeping is back to normal as well, thank goodness. The best part about UTZ is that I wasn't shuffled off to an assistant. Each visit was entirely spent with John, the PT. The reception staff were also great and welcoming. This was by far THE BEST encounter with physical therapy I have had. Thanks, John, for your persistence in the face of my somewhat difficult diagnosis/problems. You're the best!

John has the most effective approach to physical therapy I have ever experienced or seen in this city. I say this from both a patient perspective and someone who has worked in the medical field in Tucson for 25 years. Here, you won’t be passed off to a physical therapy assistant who has a less than complete grasp on exactly how to perform the few exercises assigned to you. My experience with John and Ashley is head and shoulders above any other facility in this city. Their evaluations are so thorough, and you are evaluated every visit. You are provided exercises when appropriate, and they will photograph you performing the exercises while maintaining correct positioning, then they send you home with pictures of and instructions for each exercise and how to do them correctly. Your time is clinic is spent finding the actual sources of your pain or discomfort and treating them with any number of hands-on methods that the therapists are proficient at. Bottom line is that you won’t find a better PT office in Tucson or the surrounding areas.

If I could rate the Ultimate Treatment Zone (UTZ) higher than 5 stars, I would provide a rating of infinite stars! My pain issues had been relatively long standing and complicated. John and his staff were inquisitive, thoughtful and innovative in their approach. Their recovery plan evolved, along with my steady improvements weekly. I HIGHLY recommend UTZ!!!
