I went to UC Health on Colorado Blvd. for PT involving a neck issue. My doctor recomended six sessions. Upon completing the first session, and attemping to schedule weekly/biweekly follow-ups, I learned that will be difficult to do because this location is nearly booked to capacity. And my PT practitioner said he works there part-time, and so future appointments would likely be with someone else. This indicates a low level of regard for consistent patient care and regular follow-up. Seems like after they get you in for an initial evaluation ($$), it's your problem.

Barely avoided a bait and switch where I would be charged 600+ for a single PT session. Dr Rachel Frank is in network and the Colorado center is out of network yet this was never mentioned. Check all the other 1 star reviews of people getting ripped off. Giving it a second star cuz I was able to find out after calling insurance, billing and the clinic to figure out why my expected pay was 600+ and cancel before I got ripped off. First of all charging that much is ridiculous. Most PT places are 2-300 a session, it seems like this places business model is getting people in the door, treating them, and billing over triple the normal amount later. Second of all they should be more transparent during scheduling or at the office that going to this location is considerably more expensive. Make sure you triple check your insurance and call the companies before you get ripped off like all the people leaving 1 star reviews. This sucks because Dr Frank was the best Dr I’ve seen for my knee yet I can’t go to the office she referred me to due to their billing practices.

Sania is incredible beyond words. Her skills and experience combined with her exquisite bedside manner are simply unmatched. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be her patient.

My doctor (a UC Health orthopedist) recommended this office. My insurance confirmed it was in-network. I attended weekly PT sessions here for seven weeks and the therapist I saw (KK) was amazing! Seven weeks after my first appointment, I finally received a bill. Beware that they bill visits as a HOSPITAL service! They billed me more than $1,000 for each 45-60 minute physical therapy session. After insurance, I was responsible for $350 a session. There is some serious unethical price gouging going on at UC Health. Stay away!

Great patient care & fair practices! Becky has single-handedly helped me recover from a serious non-weight-bearing injury to walking in no time. Becky and the entire staff are extremely knowledgable and qualified with certificates in specific forms of PT that most other places don't have. I've had my fair share of injuries in the past, but none of my PT places have even come close to how great this clinic is. Their therapists really go above and beyond: Becky once told me when she recognized signs of a different issue forming and got me in to see a different doctor in time to catch the problem before it became serious. Their billing is clear, every appointment uses the full time, and their equipment works great. If you want to recover fully and quickly (and surprisingly painlessly!) come to UCHealth.

Lindsay is a fantastic P/T, kind and very knowledgeable. I went from severe shoulder pain to no pain at all. Gave me good exercises to do and taught me a lot about how to help keep from hurting my shoulder again. Always went above and beyond and truly helped me. The clinic itself is very clean and organized and the receptionists are extremely nice and accommodating. Easy to make appointments. I would highly recommend to anyone needing P/T.

Short version: I agree with other reviewers that UC Health is taking part in some unethical price gouging. I am at a total loss as to why a 45 minute Zoom appointment would be billed at nearly $1500 to my insurance (at a $387 out-of-pocket cost to me). Expanded version: I met with Dr. Rachel Frank at UC Health on 12/7/20 and she referred me for physical therapy on my knee. The clinic is also part of UC Health and is downstairs from her office. She suggested two specific physical therapists based on me being a runner. I waited 6 weeks to get an appointment with one of the PTs that she suggested. When I arrived for my first appointment, the PT met me in the waiting room and informed me that the clinic has a "hospital multiplier" which could result in my appointment costing up to $200. Past PT appointments in Denver cost me $50. However, because I had waited so long, I decided to go ahead with the appointment. I want to note that the physical therapy I received did not require any equipment or weights--the PT just taught me some exercises to do at home on my floor. Several weeks later, after I had attended a second appointment via Zoom, I received my first bill for $387 (after insurance). Separately, I received a letter from my insurance company asking whether I had been in an accident and whether someone else may be liable for these charges. All this for what the PT repeatedly described as a very MINOR injury that would be easy to fix. I called UC Health to inquire about the astronomical cost of my appointment. I explained the above and the representative suggested that I submit a dispute. The representative stated that the dispute would be resolved in 2 weeks time by either: 1) making the cost more reasonable or 2) having a representative call me to explain why the cost was so high. Another month went by and no one called. In the meantime, UC Health sent another bill for an ADDITIONAL $387 for the second Zoom visit. I called UC Health again and this time the representative read from a script that "the department has reviewed and verified that the charges are accurate." She said she could not offer further information, but that I could obtain my medical records by calling another number. I called the number and left a message the same day. It has been another month (20 weeks since my first PT appointment) and I have left 3 more messages. I still do not have clarification or justification for these costs. Like other reviewers, I have found this situation to be truly unethical and appalling.

This review should be for UCHealth as an organization, but it was based on my experience at this clinic. I was seen for chronic knee pain from a surgery I had over 1 year ago. My first visit was in June, but RECEIVED MY FIRST BILL in September for double the amount I thought it would be. Every time I checked in, I inquired on pricing, as I did not receive a quote nor was I charged at any of my 8 subsequent visits. When calling the billing office, they did not know until insurance processed it. My visits were 30-40 minutes in length and primarily did the same exercises and showed little to no improvement during the duration of my visits. My PT said he would follow up with my doctor to see what else we could try, but forgot to, so the care was pretty rudimentary, and non-specific to my specific injury. If you value your time, money and health I recommend that you DO NOT visit this office, EVER.
