They should not have an LGBT friendly icon. I am transgender masculine and I was not respected at all. On my most recent visit, the doctor asked me about my identity and I was hopeful. But as soon as he and the nurse thought they were out of ear shot, they kept using the wrong pronouns. I reminded them my preferred pronouns are he/him. Instead of respecting that, the doctor walks into the room and says “ isn’t (my preferred name) a woman’s name?” I was kind of shocked, and felt forced to defend my identity. When I did, the response was “oh I just thought that name was kind of feminine”. The nurse apologized for misgendering me even after I reminded her of my pronouns, but the doctor did not. On my first visit, when I used the mens bathroom, they were like “oh the women’s bathroom is over here”, even after I told them I was trans. In addition, this clinic is located in the basement of a building that is very old. The door knobs are falling off the exam rooms, it’s not very clean, and I felt like I was going to a back alley clinic. If I would’ve had another choice for my Workmen’s Comp. injury clinic, I would have gone there. Please remove the LGBT friendly highlight, as this place is definitely not
