Heed the warnings from the many reviews here on the topic - outrageous billing system which ends up being extremely expensive for minor exams and imaging. The staff was good, specifically the radiology tech was awesome, however you need to be prepared to spend an exorbitant amount of money for minor things. Also, be prepared to be seen by a medical student instead of the doctor you're booked to see. The actual doctor comes in for the last 2 minutes and bills you for 45. Not worth it.

Absolute Scam of a billing system they are running. Charge you twice from two different entities. Massive DR charges when they do basically nothing for any of your appointments. Would rate 0 Stars if I could. They will respond saying that their billing team can explain my bill more. All they will probably explain is that they are grossly overcharging people. P.S. Love the $175 dollar facility charge that their own billing department said was basically walking in the door. That is not a fee for any services or opinions from their medical team. Recommend heavily to go to a different organization.

2nd visit and NOT happy with the dr. His helper was great, Dr. NO HE DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME. Was to have prior surgery 2 weeks before seeing him, but that Dr. said replacement instead of putting me through 2 surgeries. He said it's because of my weight needed to lose before he'd do surgery as weight was issue for TORN ACL and Meniscus. WRONG!!! When he asked why I left previous Dr. and I stated I didn't care of him and why all I got was attitude that "Well, Dr. SXXXXXX from Cheyenne is a great dr." Sorry, I didn't care for him. I want a Dr. who will listen to my concerns and fears of having this surgery and NOT keep delaying it. It's already been 2 years and 6 since I hurt it. Seeking a different Dr. NOT related to UC Health. Trying Orthopedics of the Rockies. Also fire drill was done. Was told by office staff that didn't need to leave along with 4 other people as stairs are NOT our friend. Then told to go to 2nd level and wait until alarm stops then we can use elevator to come back up to 4th floor. THANK GOODNESS only a drill and NOT real fire.

My experiences at CU Sports Medicine have been very good! Emily M was incredibly sweet and helpful. Now I have Derek, who is also very good. They listen! It’s hard not to notice the number of people reviewing poorly had issues with insurance, billing or cost, said the treatment and people were great, but gave one star. I’m stunned by how many have little or no insurance! Through 9 years, and two insurances, I have never had an unexpected bill. This is over many clinics and two major surgeries. Also, the level of whining about doctors being late for appointments is ridiculous. If you were having an emergency, would you be happy if the doc left because it was time for the next appointment? Doctors regularly run late, and EVERYONE knows it. Try going to an OBGYN. Your 45 minute wait is nothing compared to what happens when your doc was inconveniently doing her job. Get over yourselves. It hasn’t been perfect, but we’re dealing with humans.

I’ll start off by saying the staff and folks who work at this facility were all excellent, but this review is primarily based on my billing experience. I went in for some knee pain I was having which included a consultation and X rays. The consultation cost $451 for a new patient after insurance, which is a lot but fine, my insurance isn’t the greatest so I expected a decent charge. What really got me going was that I spent 5 minutes getting X-rays and this added $560 in addition charges (photos attached). I was billed $80 for a new patient as the X-ray services are from a different provider, so it literally cost me $80 to walk 7 feet across the hall to get an X-ray. On top of the outlandish X-ray fees (1,127 per knee before insurance), I was also charged $70 just to pay the technician for doing 3 minutes of X-rays. I didn’t know it, but after being in the office for 10 minutes I had already rung up $1,100 in charges. I should mention and confirm that all of this was in network. Just outrageous cost and billing structure that does a disservice to the patient. While the staff is very knowledgeable and kind, I would avoid at all (literal) costs Edit: I see that the company has asked me to call in to rectify the situation - I spent a few hours on the phone with them prior to writing this review. I was told I needed to read the fine print better, so their comment below is purely to save face

After reading some reviews before my appointment I called to get an estimate (with insurance) New patient fees are over $600! Not even to do anything. And that’s with insurance. Thanks to the other reviewers for saving me potentially 1k+ who knows.

I had a total hip replacement. The staff are considerate and helpful and kind. I had as good of an experience as you could. They take their time to make sure you are receiving the best care for you. So glad I had this team. From my Pre Op RN to the resident I saw at my 6 week appointment (including the surgeon). I could hug each one of them

First, Dr was running 45+ min late. Second - I ended up seeing a NP instead of the DR I had an appt with (this is OK as the NP did just fine). Third - I was billed by both the DR and the Facility. I've never been to a DR office that bills two different charges - a DR charge and a Facility charge. My insurance covers the DR just fine - but no one ever told me there would be a facility charge by a totally different entity. All for a 5 min visit? $400 total charges for a 5 min Dr visit after waiting over 45 min past my appt time? Needless to say - I cancelled my follow up appt and will never go back to UC Health.
