UC San Diego Health Sports Medicine – La Jolla

The front desk staff emphasized that children under 12 are not allowed in the office, even though there were no signs or information provided beforehand. The physician assistant was dismissive during my appointment, suggesting that if patients making over $20 million a year can tolerate the pain, then so should I. While the orthopedic surgeons at UCSD are amazing, it seems that surgeons in the ‘fancy offices’ can’t be bothered to give regular patients the time of day.

Dr. Leu & Claypool who assisted in my knee aspiration were both so mindful, receptive, and supportive. I couldn’t be happier with how my appointment with and for something painful and nerve wracking, I left feeling relieved and happy and so satisfied. Front desk staff were also so nice and clinic overall is nice. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Just talked to Erica from the sports medicine surgery group. I haven't had a full nights sleep in 4 weeks. I asked for someone to give me a cortisone injection which Dr. Leek suggested could be a course of treatment. She said that everyone there was too busy and I would have to wait until my next appointment which is a month away. I was at my physical therapy evaluation yesterday and was told that I should get the shot to lower the pain level so I could perform the simple exercises. I asked if the sports medicine group was a way to go but never got an answer.

These therapists know what they're doing. Resolved my daughter's chronic aches and pains from sports and put her on a program to prevent future injury. Efficiently run front office, little to no wait to be seen, friendly staff.

Really nice & friendly staff!!! Amazing customer service! The wait time is not too bad. Parking can get a bit full depending on your appointment time. Don't forget to take you parking ticket so they can validate it. Doctors are on point and very informative.
