My Doctor is located in the Ellison Building, And she's a Graduate straight out of UCD and she's under the supervision of a full on MD and I feel comfortable with both. The Ellison Building is a one stop shop, from X-rays, Cardiology, General medicine, Physical therapy, and the list goes on. I've been coming here for years now, And their advancement in medical Technology improves year after year and you don't have to leave the building for your meds, as the pharmacy is located on the first floor. And not to worry because you're in great hands, As UCD considers your Heath their number one priority

Update 12/11/23: again there is no inventory in cafeteria. Out of eggs and breakfast items in the fridge. Prioe review: There is one worker doing all jobs in the cafeteria: cash register, coffee maker, popcorn bar, and food bar. There is one to two workers in the bar/kitchen area who ignore staff and patients in line and wait for that one employee who doing it all. Maybe its not their job and its understaffed? You're lucky if they even have all breakfast or lunch option. They won't have eggs some morning starting at opening. They've run out of lunch menu items before 1 pm. I'm here weekly and these have been consistent issues I've encountered multiple times since Feburary.

One star might seem a bit low but I would say other pharmacies I've been to are three stars max. It seems like the pharmacy just is in the place where you're expected to have a decent experience, like the DMV or something. I was already by the hospital and needed to stop to get my prescription, I needed to get back to our babysitter within the half hour but figured that would be enough to pick up one medication. Because of all the construction it takes a while to get in the parking garage and find a parking spot There was no one in line ahead of me, but the older lady at the counter was just doing something at the computer and kept telling me to hold on, I could see four or five people in the back but maybe none of them could bring people up? Up? I waited at least 10 minutes and four more people had started to wait behind me. Eventually I had to leave so that I could go back to my kids without my medication and I still had to pay for parking because I couldn't get it validated. I'm okay with UC Davis in general, but I would avoid the outpatient pharmacy, go to a retail pharmacy instead.

Wife needed XRays (lower extremity, simple). Arrived at 11 after a 2 hour phone conversation to confirm we would be seen with an outside script. Once we arrived, as instructed, we were informed that her electronic script was not acceptable. She would need to fax or print it. We are both health professionals and know that there are many work arounds to circumvent this issue. We asked if the front desk clerk (whom should never work in healthcare - an aside to our complaint) could receive the script via email and print it from the computer/printer directly adjacent to her. She said no, which is fine - protocol we assumed. We walked to our office on the same campus. Printed the papers. Return at 1130. She then informs us she is now on break for 30 mins or so and that we would be seen once she returns after the 5 patients who entered after we left to print. It was clear the “printing” issue above was an effort to delay us enough for her to reach her lunch break. Extraordinarily unprofessional. We decided to not return. As healthcare professionals (surgeons) we expect better than this. Not just for us, but for all patients. I will have my wife see a colleague and obtain the XRays more expeditiously. I just feel awful for patients who do not have this luxury and have to deal with this system. UC Davis is better than the care rendered today. I am extremely disappointed in my alma mater and could not feel more ashamed to have been/be a part of such awful healthcare.

I arrived 10 minutes late to my appointment, the receptionist took another 15 minutes to acknowledge me and check me in. Because of this they took me off the schedule.

I actually came here for a blood draw. The young lady that drew my blood was great, I didn't even hardly feel the needle.

Had the most excellent experience when having to get a cardiac mri. Well, aside from all of the construction going on....reception/check in staff, nurses and the technician who did the imaging were the most courteous, considerate and helpful crew that I've dealt with !! My appointment lasted about 2 1/2 hrs, and, was done on a Sunday afternoon at that !! Would definitely recommend (and return, if needed) to anyone that needs a higher level of care.

I was disappointed in this lab. They did not respected my personal directive and choices as a pregnant patient. They did not put my needs and choices before their own opinions. Some of their practices are outdated to modern maternity needs of woman. If you can avoid using this lab as a woman or maternity patient I would highly suggest it. Speak up for yourself you are your own advocate and know what's best for you and your baby.
