UAB Sports and Exercise Medicine at St. Vincent's 119

Today, I had my first appointment with Dr. Calvin Spellmon, Jr. My experience with Dr. Spellmon and his staff was very positive and enjoyable. I was promptly invited into the examination room a few minutes after my arrival. After the completion of taking my vitals and obtaining X-rays, the waiting time to consult with Dr. Spellmon was reasonable. Dr. Spellmon and his staff exemplified the epitome of excellent healthcare. They demonstrated kindness, friendliness, compassion, patience, care, and courtesy throughout the entire visit. I had a sense of ease and trust when Dr. Spellmon entered the examination room. He greeted me with a professional handshake, seated himself directly across from me, maintained consistent eye contact, and invited me to share my concerns. I tend to provide excessive details, but Dr. Spellmon was very patient and listened attentively to my concerns. He also dedicated ample time to answering my questions and offering information to me regarding my issues. It has been determined that further testing is needed. There were no immediate appointments available from St. Vincent's. Therefore, I am awaiting a call from another facility to schedule an appointment. Following this, I will have a follow-up visit with Dr. Spellmon. I was extremely satisfied with Dr. Spellmon and the staff of UAB Sports and Exercise Medicine Clinic at St Vincent's 119. I would definitely recommend them!
