My 61 year old sister entered the Twin Lakes nursing home about a month or two ago because of deterioration caused by ALS. The staff have been so good to her, treating her with empathy, kindness, gentleness and attentiveness. I know they are all busy here but from the administrator to the director of nursing to the nurses and CNAs to the janitor, I am so impressed with the quality of people they employ here. Everyone is so sweet. I know nursing homes get a bad wrap but I am so grateful that my sister is here getting the care that she needs for the last few months of her life.

My Mother Constance Hardt went to Twin Lakes Therapy and Living in February of this year after a stroke that resulted in a fall which broke her ankle. I cant tell you how good they were to her for her entire stay. Many of the staff came to love her sassy personality and would check up on her often even when not working her hall. The staff gave me peace of mind that she was safe and provided for, something I could not do on my own with a full time job. She was treated with respect, dignity, and love. On the day of her passing, june 11th 2024 the staff helped my husband and I through it all with hugs and tears and were there for any questions we might have. They showed us the same love and respect that they had shown her the entire stay. Thank you to the entire staff for everything you all did to make a very hard situation bearable! Some of you girls went way above and beyond for all three of us and I will never forget any of you!

Twin Lakes Therapy & Living is one of the best nursing homes in the county. It is rated 5 Star by CMS and has more than the minimum number of nurses on staff each day than CMS requires! The food is good and the residents are well taken care of. I would recommend anyone to have your family member recover here!

Do not use this facility. I wouldnt give them one star over all but had to for posting. My mom was admitted for rehab from congested heart failure. I had to ask them to give my mom her showers even though they had a twice a week schedule. I had to ask for them to change her bed sheets. They were suppose to wash her clothes but failed to do so until I ask again. They did not put her name in her clothes so I had to track them down and make sure this was done. There was feces on the toilet lid that I showed a manager. They dropped the ball not giving her the diuretic for the fluid on her lungs. She got pneumonia and congestive heart failure again. This caused her to become weak and unable to function well. Because of this, physical therapy threatened to "kick her out" if she did not participate in therapy. After 30 days in there, they sent her home unable to get up or get around very well without supervision. Worst of all, they called DHS to inspect her home. I was told it was a state law when they are supposed to have supervision. When I asked for the law, I was told it wasn't a law but a company policy. But they couldn't find the policy either. Then I was told DHS rarely comes out. Wrong! DHS has to investigate every call. She got out on a Saturday and they came out on a Tuesday. DHS said it was a waste of their time and wasn't sure why they were called. DO NOT take your loved one here. I will say they had a few good nurses but other than that they are way below standards!!

I had to give a one star in order to post otherwise I would give zero . This is not a place to send a love one for rehab. Two brief stays and 2 dislocated hips later was enough for me. Had to put up with a negative attitude from the head nurse on the way out the second time. Not even a follow up phone call from anyone. Buyer beware with this place.
