Tucson Orthopaedic Institute - Green Valley Clinic

I went to the Tucson office today (May 2, 2023) expecting to be told I would need a knee replacement. Talking with Dr. Alicea, we decided at my age (77), the risks outweighed the gains. He told me that my knee wasn't bad enough to risk surgery. It was really amazing to talk with a Dr. who didn't push the surgery. If you want honest, this is the man to see. Bill Rice

I had a complete fracture of the right patella and Dr. Jose Alicea performed the surgery last October. After excellent post-op visits and care with Dr. Alicea, in addition to my physical therapy, I am now able to resume my normal daily activities. Thank you everyone!

As a new patient , I expected a long wait to get an appointment. I was lucky to be able to see Dr. Alicea the next day due to a cancelation. The telephone receptionist was most helpful in arranging for xrays prior to my visit with the doctor. I was most pleased with Dr. Alicea and the treatment has relieved my knee pain. The entire staff was very friendly and most helpful.

The clinic was very conveniently located on Continental Road, in an existing Xray clinic. The MD was very personable and efficient and I got what I was after -- an prescription for physical therapy. I will return to this clinic is I need additional orthopedic care -- my knees are going on me!

Doctor Alicia answered my question and now I know what to do, he is always straightforward into the point and that is the way I like it
