I had a knee replacement from Dr Gens Goodman seven weeks ago. My experience from the first day consulting with him was great. I could see he knew what he had to do to make life easier for me and that was to replace my knee. I’ve seen Dr. Goodman twice since surgery and I was impressed that before he saw me before my appointment he sent me for X-ray’s. It gave me peace of mind knowing that I’m healing properly. I highly recommend Dr Goodman if you’re needing anything done with your knees. He’s professional, compassionate and a wonderful doctor! His staff is amazing as well. I felt comfortable and safe and I’m happy I’m moving in the right direction. Thank you Dr Goodman for taking great care of me.

Dr Rozell was knowledgeable and explained my situation in a very clear way. He welcomed questions and concerns. I felt he listened well and was kind. He allowed my body to heal at its own rate and in a way that I was very comfortable with. I highly recommend him.

From Miss Shirley at check in to the most attentive experience with Dr. Chen (Sports Medicine) Hip Dr., the visit was everything I didn’t expect yet ended up being everything I needed. I had a bad experience. I would not recommend this place at all. For whatever reason, they schedule 3 to 4 people with the same Dr at the same time. He was 2 hours behind. That wasn't even the worst part when I finally got in there, the aide ( not really sure what her title is) was not only unfriendly, but rude. The Dr wasn't helpful with answering the questions I had. I'm very disappointed. & Then at the end, when they gave me paperwork for physical therapy, they had put it was for my left hand instead of my right. So I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to correct the paperwork. I was there a total of 3 and a half hours. Very disappointing and I feel like I didn't get the care that I should have.

I would go literally anywhere else from here on out. My issue was not resolved, and billing was (and still is) a nightmare. The worst part was that I heard staff members talking poorly about patients while waiting to be seen (that patients are so annoying, they wish patients would "just shut up", and then laughing about it). It made me feel super uncomfortable and I did not want to be in the office any longer than I had to. I tried voicing my concerns through their internal review 2 months ago but no one reached out, so I'll post it here so someone else doesn't have to have a terrible experience.

For the size of this location and the amount of people they handle, they do it remarkably well. You get checked in fairly quickly, get taken back in less than 30 min. Then get seen in about 10 minutes by a Dr. who truly is trying to help. I have been to many other institutes in the area that are much smaller and none took care of me nearly as well.

My visit was perfect. The valet parking was so convenient. The check in process was quick and efficient . The wait to be seen was very short. The PA Andrew Knox was professional, knowledgeable, polite and took his time making sure I understood my situation. The facility is spotless. Well done Tucson Orthopaedic Institute! Thank you.

I feel very fortunate to have been placed on Dr.Rozelle’s schedule. He was prompt and carefully decisive about the care he suggested, listened when questions were asked, and clear about the procedure. His interaction skills were great, but I am mostly happy to say his surgical skills put me on the road to healing. Tucson is fortunate to have a surgeon with his skills in our community.
