If you care about your loved ones you will not place them here. The nurses are rude to the patients, several issues with my mother within her 2 days there before she had to rushed back to hospital. My mom laid in fecal matter and urine for 2 hours before they changed her. She was supposed to be on a soft diet and they served her pork chops and tried to give her someone else's medication. (She was on the rehab side) she had to beg for them to bring her water.

AWFULL!!! My grandmother who has Alzheimer’s was place in this nursing home. She cannot walk or talk, she depends on these people to take care of her. About a week and a half ago my mother went to visit and found bruises all over her arm, side and back. They claim while changing her clothes an aid accidentally elbowed her but no one reported it. When my mother got her to the emergency department they found she had multiple broken ribs, internal bleeding and many other things. The workers at this rehab claim they knew nothing about any of this and that they slightly hit her. She was in the hospital for a week due to her injuries. The workers at Trussville rehab do not care about their patients.

They have constantly moved my mother. I was informed that she would have a window bed, she did for awhile, until they found a reason to move her. Then they put her in a window bed, then she went on isolation then back to another room ,then another room and not back to her room where tv is. She has lost numerous phone chargers, hot a sweater for Christmas wore once hung in closer and it had her name in , but I guess someone needed more than a 86 year old lady did to stay warm.. I am very disappointed in this facility.

This place should be closed! They almost killed me. My sister came to visit me when they were trying to revive me. My oxygen level was 63! She got them to call an ambulance and got me to the hospital where they got me back to normal. I told my son I never wanted to go back. I kept telling them I could not breathe. They laughed at me but I had fluid built up on my lungs. At night if they came to see what you wanted they were mean and put bruises on me. I had my leg amputated so I was not able to get up and go the the restroom. They were horrible except for the wound nurse. She was the only one nice to me and let me know the surgeon did not do a good job. I saw a different surgeon who corrected the mistakes the first one made. Went to a different rehab and am doing a lot better.

My husband was accepted to this nursing home. By 9:00 pm the same night he was shipped out to the hospital. Our short stay was a blessing, since the care was so bad. No one came to check on him while I was there. He could not feed himself. Hot water was running full blast in bathroom and would not turn off. Not a good experience.

I was there for 74 days. One night, within the first week I was there, I was not awakened and changed during the night. When I woke up everything was soaked, down through the bedding. I had my light on for over 3 hours before someone finally answered and cleaned me up. This happened several times during my stay there, not getting the light answered and having to lay there, soaked, waiting for someone to change me. Their excuse was always, "We're sorry, we're understaffed."! Most of the food was terrible. Overdone, underdone, hard to chew or soupy. They did not inform me that Medicare only paid for the first 21 days. If they had, I would have gone home at the end of 21 days, ready or not! Instead, I now have a bill over $12,000 to pay! That is my yearly income!!

Absolutely do not reccomend this facility. My Grandfather was in the short term side for rehabilitation after a hip replacement. We found him in his own urine soaked and had been for 2 hours. He was left unattended while out of his head and fell out of his bed injuring his arm. After pushing the button for assistance it took 45 minutes for anyone to respond. He was man handled once because he wasnt moving fast enough and has consistently been spoken down too and disrespected by staff attempting to rush him. We fought for a week for him to be tested for a uti and he never was treated. He is now back in the hospital due to a bad UTI and dehydration. Do not trust these people with your loved ones.

Deplorable place. Conditions are unacceptable for human beings to live in. Stray dogs wouldn't eat what they present as food. Some of the staff caring for the residents are loving, caring individuals but staff can only do so much. They are overworked, aunder-staffednd under paid.
