After crushing my elbow on the ice in December, I had surgery which involved placing 2 plates and 11 screws in my arm, followed by 3 months of gentle stretching. At three months, I started therapy with Stirland, who worked with me for 2 months. Through his expertise and knowledge in manipulation, strengthening and stretching techniques, I am back to enjoying all my activities, including biking, swimming, kayaking etc.! I highly recommend True North specialists and could not be happier!

Hands down the BEST PHYSICAL THERAPIST AROUND!!! YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER ONE! Rick is tremendously intuitive, knowledgeable, and truly cares for his patients! Offering to come in on a holiday weekend if any issues arose, and listening to his patients concerns. He goes above and beyond at every appointment. If you want one on one care with the most knowledgeable physical therapist around- this is your guy! Forever grateful to have found him!

I went to Rick after I had surgery on my left hand for joint deterioration in the wrist at the base of the thumb. I found Rick to be a very unique individual in that he is both compassionate and professional. His knowledge and skill were evident in working with my hand but he also cared about what I was going through at the time. I was going through a very difficult situation in my personal life and Rick's patience and compassion meant a lot to me. He is an excellent listener who cares about you as a person.

I saw a Rick before he moved away from our area. I had seen 4 other hand therapist over a four-year period, but once I found Rick I stayed with him. My hand had been crushed by 340 pound patient and it required 3 surgeries. Rick was always very kind and compassionate about my hand and trying to get as much function back as possible. He made custom fit braces for my hand and wrist, and I watched others that he worked with come over to learn from him. He was also concerned with what was going on in my personal life. He became not only the best therapist I had, but a true friend. I would highly recommend him to everybody. When he moved out of the area everyone at the office was sad to see him go and I knew that our loss is your gain.
