This was a visit that was not mean to be but it happened. I always feel nervous walking into a clinic just because I am not sure what the outcome will be with an injury. Becca at the front desk was more than pleasant to deal with. She explained the process and help me complete my forms for my appointment. Next, Nurse Anna called my name and we were off to the back office for more information. She was really friendly and detailed oriented. Her personality helped to ease my anxiety of the unknown outcome. Dr. Westpheling was more than accommodating. He asked the same and more questions before he examined my injury. I was really impressed with him. Experienced, dedicated and really showed he cared about my recovery. Dr. Requested an X-ray and Teresa was so friendly and a warm welcome to her department. After a few glamour shots(lol) I was set to go until my follow up. I would recommend this clinic and its team to anyone. I hope my follow up goes as well. Thank you all! Jrangel MY DBQ.

My boyfriend was recently seen here to follow up with Dr. Westpheling. He encountered a work injury that resulted in a severe concussion. The receptionists were all very friendly and accommodating, I would give them 5 stars separately if I could. The first nurse my boyfriend was seen by took his concerns very seriously, listened and was very helpful. However, Dr. Westpheling, not so much. He was very quick in the visit and didn’t seem to take note of any of the major symptoms and concerns we expressed. Due to this concussion my boyfriend has been experiencing major short term memory issues, slow processing time, speech delays, severe dizziness, and more. During the visit, he couldn’t even remember where he worked 3 months prior to his current job. My boyfriend has been stuck in bed for 11 days as I write this review. Dr. Westpheling decided it was appropriate to send my boyfriend back to work in a stimulating environment with restrictions, with a severe concussion. Later after this appointment my boyfriend had a regular physical scheduled with his PCP. His PCP cut the visit short and sent us straight to the ER due to his delays in processing, speech and memory, along with the finding of weakness on the left side of his body. She expressed great concern and stated she isn’t comfortable with him returning to work. At the ER visit they completed CT scans and an MRI scan after also experiencing the same symptoms shown in his follow up with Tri-State Occupational and Dr. Westpheling, and his PCP. The doctor at the ER also experienced great discomfort with my boyfriend being sent back to work and requested a second MRI with contrast to be done through his PCP. The ER doctor stated he didn’t feel comfortable writing a note to relieve him from work due to “not wanting to step on toes at Tri-State” but expressed greatly that my boyfriend get brain rest. After relaying all of this information to Tr-State Occupational and Dr. Westpheling‘s nurse, and them reviewing the scans and notes, it was still decided his current restrictions were fine and that he’s A-Okay to go back to work. After expressing my personal concerns and requesting a new doctor several times, not only did they not transfer us to a new doctor, they stated they were willing to “compromise” by lowering his restrictions to a 2 hour work day, and bumped his follow up visit up two days. He’s supposed to go to work in a stimulating environment with a severe concussion. I feel as though none of the concerns we expressed were taken seriously by Dr. Westpheling and the nurse we spoke to at that time, they seemed very quick to come to a decision, weren’t very accommodating, or attentive and only lowered his restrictions after I advocated for my boyfriend and his current condition.

Always a great experience here. The staff are all very friendly and I have never had a long wait. I use there services every year when I have to update my TB tests for work and sometimes for work physicals.
