I stayed for 3 weeks. The room was filthy! The dust on the curtains was as thick as a nickle. If I were asthmatic I'd have had an attack. There was blood on the call bell that wasn't mine and no matter how much I complained nothing was done. There was blood on the night stand that wasn't mine, and a half assed attempt at wiping it off was made, and it stayed. The food was terrible. Physical Therapy was exceptional. The last week there I saw a rodent running around in the room. Everyone seemed afraid. A nice man named Harry got some traps and it was caught. No one wanted to get it once it was in the trap. I let them know that if I had to catch it I was throwing it in the hallway and closing the door. The nastiest part was that every time I had to go to the bathroom I had to clean the toilet with clorox wipes before I could use it. It was always covered in urine and feces. The night nurse Mureen was loud and rude, always threatening to write up the aides for any little reason. When asked to keep it down so we could sleep I got yelled at, and told "THAT'S HOW GOD MADE ME" very loudly, and rudely. Also I never got my morning meds when she worked. I had to tell an aide that she was creating a HIPPA violation yelling that a patient had diarrhea, and then yelling his name where everyone could hear it. Most Nurses, and aides were rude and mean to my roommate for no reason. If you rang the call bell you could expect a response anywhere from 45min to 3hours. I was very disappointed with the care, and the rudeness of the aides, and Nurses. One of the aides said "this is rehab and you're supposed to take care of yourself" I had to tell her that if we could take care of ourselves, we wouldn't be here. We obviously needed some help.

I was completely disrespected by the Latino maintenance band at this facility. I came to drop off a package for a resident and I went to what I assumed was the front door. This man denied the access and told me that the front door was not the front door to go around the back entrance I went all the way around the other building and cannot gain entry into any of the Doors I went back to where the sign is and I witness to Caucasian females being allowed into the building I made a statement this seems like the front door. He said it is I said so why would you tell me it wasn’t and have me walk all the way around the building he said well I could’ve took the package but since you want to get nasty, oh well, I said oh because I’m black , I’m not suitable to walk in the front door I told him I would be making a report he said go ahead fine

I have been a patient/resident for 2 years, and CNA morale and teamwork are at the lowest point. There are some CNAs who care, and others that don't. Management works really hard to keep a good work environment, but some individual personalities get in the way. Personal health care has gotten worse, seems like CNAs are here for themselves, not the residence. I feel treated like a statistic, rather than a human. I give credit to management and business administrator for listening to personal complaints, but it is hard for them to change people that don't want to change. I am a 42-year-old quadriplegic, and I can still get around the facility. I feel bad for the elderly that cannot fend for themselves. Again, management is really exceptional and doing what they can to make changes. On the Plus side, there is a great recreational therapist that puts on daily activities the residents can gather in the dining hall and play games and socialize. The rehab unit works well with physical, occupational and speech therapy, that do a good job helping loved ones recover from orthopedic surgery and other physical, mental and whatever healt disabilities that may arise in life. The therapist here are well trained, knowledgeable and respected! There is a nice front patio residence that are able to get out of bed and go out and sit and get some fresh air. The food is barely average, hit or miss depending on personal taste and liking. I want to reiterate that I am not saying I do not recommend this facility for your loved ones. I am actually getting out and back into the community within the next several months. I hope by then some changes have been made to make it better for future residency. Leaving family and loved ones in the health and care of other people is never easy, I just hope changes can be made before and well after I am gone, to make it a little easier to let go and feel comfortable about it. Thank you for reading, and Hope you can make a educated decision with your future choices.

Should not be allowed to care for pets nevermind people. Food is awful and that's if they remember you. Staff is rude and unprofessional. I doubt if anyone here could even change a bandaid. Never saw so many lazy unintelligent people in one place. Places like this is why our health insurance is so expensive. This place doesn't belong in business.

| IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY, DO NOT LEAVE THEM HERE.| - My uncle had a stroke/needed physical therapy. My grandparents obviously not being able to care for him/monitor him as much as he needed, he needed to be put in a nursing home. This place was the only available one and the doctor at Hartford hospital warned us and said he really doesn’t recommend going there. (He’s on state btw) this place is like a sad abandoned psych ward. The little TVs as you see in the google review photos and there are obviously bright filters to make the rooms look nice. It doesn’t look like that, it’s dark and sad. The daily physical therapy he was supposed to receive, was given once a week. They stole his wallet, acted like they couldn’t find it, then when they did in the laundry room, all of his cash was missing. We had to basically beg to get the wallet back every single day. They give all their patients Dixie cups of water so they’re incredibly dehydrated and begging and waiting for a nurse to come back for more. They weren’t feeding him on a diabetic diet, their excuse was because he was “picky” and I have the entire voice recording on my phone of the conversation. The food was like dog food, they don’t check if u eat, or if ur done, they just come back and take it. He became sickly thin, I’ve never seen him so skinny. Then one day, my grandma was standing in his room the nurses were talking about how a patient down the hall, she was a old lady, she was complaining her neck was really hurting one day. One says to the other nurse chuckling how it’s because she dropped her on the floor on accident but she wasn’t gonna tell her that. And another incident with Covid, the patient how Covid, the CNA/nurse wasn’t gonna tell the younger CNA/nurse to wear a mask bc she’s “young enough to handle it, she will be fine”. The care in this facility, is disgusting and I feel bad for the patients left there with no family checking on them. We were able to transfer him to a better nursing home, it’s been two weeks since and he’s gained 25 pounds. They were letting him starve and leaving him to lay there like he was nothing.

Does NOT deserve the 1 star. Trying calling phone number, it rang off hook. I called back and got hung up on. Called back, got transferred to her room, no answer. Found out that the patients don't have phones in their room! WHY NOT? Tryed on and off all day to get information about my mom with NO LUCK!!! OMG!!!!!!

I have so many complaints about this place, I dont know where to start. My husband was sent there after his shoulder surgery. He only had use of one hand and instead of helping him eat or anything, they left him on his own. They never gave him his meds on time. They never helped him to the bathroom so he would sometimes wet the bed and it would take hours to get cleaned up. Do NOT send your loved ones here.

Read the statistics carefully and agree this is a fine place to be. Read the complaints…I received much worse care than those at Trinity-St. Francis Hospital. Of course, most of us want to be home. Transitioning from there is stressful for the patient and family. The staff, all of them, are doing the very best they can. I respect them for their unflagging friendliness, patience and kindness. One concern, for most hospitals and health facilities….Why isn’t the food of higher quality? Their administrators should be made to regularly eat it, Food is motivating and healing.
