Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare - Sun Valley

Our son has been making big progress at Totally Kids. We have had a really good experience with everyone on staff so far. The care meetings that we have on a monthly basis are very valuable and productive. My son has been there for several months and we have not run into any problems or attitude. We are extremely active and involved advocates for our son which I'm sure helps the situatiin all around. Thank you TK!

The cna left soiled diapers next to my son's ice that is to keep my sons trache tube hydrated. The contradictory way in which they follow state rules is atrocious. I asked the cna to get off of his phone to help me change my son .he was angry and showed intense aggression I had to denand he leave unless you are able to spend time with your child to keep an eye on their spirit. Do your best to place expectations on this staff. They know how to change diapers and make it look better than it is .my son will be 21 soon .he's been here two weeks .little has been done without my nagging .kindness is present but so is negligence .I am there often at night at the urging of a cna last night I slept next to my son .he urinated and it was all over his back. I requested a shower just as I had the night prior. Same thing .they refused to shower him the night before. They showered him last night and changed his bedding as I kindly suggested .I was told that the staff fears me. I myself have been a care giver. Just one of me working 12 hour shifts and I accomplished more for my patients than they do. Today they left a tee shirt of my son's that had urine in it on their medical table. Had I not tossed it in the hamper and noted it the second shift would gave put their meds on it they were feeding my son ravioli from a can and Vienna sausage .Hardly the foods to help a brain injury heal .I was told I could not bring him in n out .a plain burger with tomato .they fedhim pudding and juice for breakfast .I had left chicken and rice/ avocado. They served it to him cold and uncut. The avocado cut in half with the out in the center .my son has frontal lobe brain trauma. They asked him if he wanted seroquil .I'm against anti psychotics for sleep issues. I stayed the night and my son a recovering addicts kept asking for seroquil .I was told that my repremanding the staff and my disgusting and sometimes colorful la guage would land me in jail. Yet it's ok to belittle and emotionally abuse patients .don't leave your child unattended here .They are understaffed and u derquaoufied for brain injuries. I had a nurse tell me she was disappointed in my son for swearing the day following his beginning to speak for the first times following his coma .Seriously spoalled at this facilities lack of knowing anything about brain trauma .they hounded me several times a day trying to get my son in .I now realize it's just a business to management. They could care less about the patients. They are manipulative and unhealthy of mind if they think I'm the problem .I spend most if if time stressed about my son's care and I stay there with him as suggested and as I now know needed. That's why the kids rarely recover there .the parents are unaware if the neglect

The worst place you can ever take your kids!! BEWARE! The staff and social worker Joel need to be fired asap! This place is so unprofessional and should be renamed Totally Kindergarten! They will make it difficult for you to take your kid home!

Very unprofessional nurse(s) and social worker(s) who accuse other staff of not having good ethics while themselves act as kindergartners during work. What a shame. This place should be renamed as "Totally Kindergarten".

I love how friendly the staff are, I went to go give gifts to the kids yesterday and we received back way more than what we gave, it was such a blessing to be able to see the kids!!!

The staff is very friendly and professional. The receptionist and admin staff are very flexible and professional.

not honest people...Caseworkers and social workers looked unhappy to be there. Not very friendly staff.
