TLC Kids Therapy

My child has been attending Occupational therapy and speech for almost two years now. I’ve notice a massive difference in my child. We are extremely thankful for her two therapist. If you’re looking for a place to take your child(ren). Start here! Not only has TLC Kids Therapy helped my child, it helped me become a better parent as well. Learning how their young minds work. Also, the waiting room is equipped with busy boards & toys. You can sit in the waiting room with your other children that are not receiving therapy. Plus free coffee!

We love coming here. My son has been coming here for occupational, speech, and physical therapy services. All his therapists have been a HUGE blessing in the development he has made. Can’t thank them enough for all they do and how much love they show him. The front desk staff is extraordinary as well, Gulsha, Lisette, and Nick are helpful and friendly and love coming here!

Been coming here for about a month on a set weekly schedule. We were never late or missed an appointment. All of a sudden, I show up to my appointment and learned not only did the therapist change her schedule, but because of this, they had no availability and could not see my son anymore. Now it is understandable that things could change however, I was never notified that my appointment was cancelled or that there was no availability. Coordination is essential to ensuring we are notified before driving all the way across town to a non existent appointment. It is also essential to ensure we are able to plan and adjust the schedules of other therapies we may have. Because of this sudden change, I will have to rearrange schedules with my son’s other services, which leaves less availability for him to return to OT. Very disappointed, I can agree with the other reviews that the coordination and communication with the staff needs improvement.

We have loved our time at TLC and all the therapists we have worked with over the years. Ms. Lisa has been our favorite and a God send as she’s helped us learn how to help and best parent our two special needs children. She’s become a beloved friend and mentor and the most dear influence to my kids. Ms Janice is always the bright smile to great us as we walk in the door and is always so patient with the exuberant kids! The expertise and skills all found in their office and therapists is stellar and we couldn’t recommend them enough!

At first i wasn’t going to say something because maybe it had recently gotten dirty but after going in multiple times i can say that those restrooms are always filthy and smell when I come in for my son’s appointments. Recently I had walked into the restroom and my son stepped in something wet on the floor, the kids walk in barefoot, which i find very concerning and makes me wonder if i should continue to allow my child to be in an unsanitary environment. Absolutely disgusting!

The therapists are great however it was made very clear when trying to schedule appointments that the office cares more about the money and billing the insurance weekly then the clients. If you go out of town even with 3 weeks notice they will expect you to bring your kid in twice the week before or after or pay $50 to not go in twice in one week. If you are bi-weekly you cannot schedule appointments out so will have to be fit in randomly wherever there are openings and they cannot schedule you out more than two weeks in advance unless you schedule weekly. When I pointed out that it was obviously about the money versus the actual care of clients the receptionist got flustered and upset.

My son has been receiving OT, PT, ST and ABA services for 4 years and his growth has been tremendous. This is a child led/play based therapy clinic and my son enjoys his time here. To him it is not "work". He is having fun while also learning and gaining strengths in areas he has weaknesses in. The therapists are patient and they work really hard to come up with treeatment plans/goals that will benefit the child and the family as well. Highly recommend.

Where do I begin with this amazing family owned business? I want to ensure the word FAMILY is in my review as I begin expressing how I truly felt like FAMILY. I have the absolute pleasure to be connected to TLC. For almost 3 years now. I have paid countless amounts of money, I mean A LOT of money to get answers, to get specialists, speech therapists to listen to me and help me. And I don’t want to ramble about them. They don’t matter anymore because it led me to this FAMILY. I want it first start with the beautiful Cristina, I say beautiful because beauty is on the inside, not the outside. This beautiful person is one of the first people to actual LISTEN. I do not mean listen and pretend she cared. But she listened to me, she let me cry, she let me speak, she let me voice my feelings, my anger, my sadness and just listened. The pain my daughter, myself and my husband have had to go through and endure just to get answers, not only to be misdiagnosed not once but twice saying she did NOT have a tongue tie from two different doctors in the same office (I will not name because this isn’t about them) I could go on but I will stop. Well, I pray.. I then call and I hear a lovely, warming, safe, calm and sweet voice pick up then phone. That in itself showed me “okay wow great start” as I have lost faith in humanity. But how greatly that was restored by speaking to this beautiful human, I finally know there are still AMAZING people that truly care, Cristina is top notch, she is THAT WOMAN! The patience she has, the person she is, that is who NEEDS to be representing your company, if you want to keep business going. Its all about feeling safe, letting people speak and hearing that they just want help and I felt SO defeated, until again, I got connected to Cristina. (TLC) So when I say family… I feel like I have family now. My husband is an active duty solider in the Army. Its just us. My family is in another state as is his. So, I can say confidently (I do not give out compliments to anyone unless I mean it) I do not sugar coat. I don’t waste my time nor anyone else’s. So TLC-please I ask you keep people like Cristina there are cherish her hard work, her heart, her intelligence and her ability to connect with people to let them you are here, that TLC cares, and that’s what Cristina did. She is a rare diamond. But it doesn’t just stop there. So, keep reading… I promise if you have gone through what myself, my daughter and my husband have, this should ease your mind. Kylie- oh wow! She is a spitfire! And trust me, that’s a huge huge compliment. I mean a spitfire as in, SHE IS GONNA DO WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE SURE YOUR CHILDREN ARE TAKEN CARE OF. She knows exactly what she is doing, she wants the BEST for our children. I mean, I just truly don’t have enough words. Kylie, made sure to call me. She made sure to listen, within the time span of ONE DAY. Kylie and Cristina were able to help me, I mean HELP ME AND MY DAUGHTER end this hard, awful battle we have endured for almost 3 years. Kylie, you remind me of myself. You are comforting, a hard working, BOSSSSSSS BABE. You know what to do, you knew exactly how to handle what I was going through- NOT ONE COMPANY IN TEXAS has been able to do. So again, Kylie- you deserve more than words, you deserve the world. These amazing woman, restored my faith, picked me up (not literally cause I don’t want them to get hurt) but you get the point. PICKED ME UP from crying, and ensured I am an amazing momma who is doing her BEST and let me tell You, today? WOW… yall better be giving raises because if just on the phone meeting them, and how they just made me feel this is why I had to fight so hard, to get through the dark to finally see the light. The light from Cristina and Kylie. Words will never be enough. But what you’ve given me back was my faith in humanity like I said, most importantly a safe place where we feel like we are family.
