I originally went to Elizabeth to work on my diastasis recti postpartum. Elizabeth also identified that I have tight pelvic floor muscles and helped me with that as well. Throughout my treatment sessions with Elizabeth, she was very supportive, understanding, and knowledgeable about her field. After completing eight treatments with her, I was able to heal my diastasis recti and tight pelvic floor muscle. She also helped me with other issues, like calf tightening after my exercises. She showed me exercises every time I mentioned an issue, and they always worked wonders. For example, I told her that I had trouble walking postpartum, which was causing my calves to tighten up. She immediately suggested that if I switched to different shoes and did the stretches she showed me, it would help. Indeed, it did! I was able to continue my walking exercises without pain. Elizabeth assisted me with any issues I brought up during my treatment, from foot pain to neck pain from taking care of my baby. She also tailored the exercises to the equipment I have at home, which helped a lot. I highly recommend working with Elizabeth. In fact, I recommended one of my friends to her after my experience, and my friend is currently working with her now.

I've been coming to see Dr. Nakamura for almost a year now and have been more than happy with the care she provides. My diastasis recti worsened after my 2nd pregnancy and the weak core muscles made it hard to even get out of bed. I followed her from her previous location to her new practice with ample room stocked with a variety of exercising equipment. She doesn't just focus on my abs/pelvic area, but she treats my entire body as a whole. She discovered I also had very weak shoulder muscles, which correlated with my core muscles and bad posture. She also has a great personality with good bedside manners that makes me feel very comfortable as a patient. I feel much stronger than I did a year ago and look forward to continue building more strength under her care and guidance.

This is rather an unusual situation to experience this with a health related personnel. I’ve never had any experiences with pelvic PT until I came to see Elizabeth. Though I didn’t know how I should be progressing or what I should expect, I continued to see her until she stopped responding to me. I tried all the ways of communication that I had access to but did get any responses. Since I couldn’t continue my sessions and was left hanging, I had to search for a new provider and start from the beginning. When I reached out to discus about the finances because it was a lot of out of pocket amount that I had to paid, she responded that she won’t be approving that and even mentioned that I signed a contract that stated that the treatments may not work. I was baffled, not only I don’t remember that but that means that technically all healthcare providers can essentially say that after getting thousands of dollars from patients and not helping them through, but at least they tried one would think. To this day, I still don’t know what happened, if it was that she no longer wanted to work with me, she doesn’t feel confident in her skills since she didn’t reply when I asked her if she knew certain techniques that were recommended by another PT, or something else since I never got an explanation let alone an apology for what happened. I don’t know if I am just unlucky or this has happened to others but I am unaware of. All the professionals who I talked to about it were surprised and couldn’t understand either. I wish I’d known sooner that it would be like this so I can start with someone else, save time, money, and most importantly, get the help that I need.

I suffered from a tight pelvic floor from pregnancy and birth and felt pain doing everyday activities and holding my baby. Dr. Elizabeth was very kind, professional, knowledgeable, and she helped me work through my pelvic floor issues with a whole body approach. Not to mention she has the strongest hands! I am so glad I found her and wish I had come to her sooner. I will be recommending her to all my mom friends!

I'm so glad that I found Elizabeth, and seeing her is one of the best decisions I made for my pregnancy! I reached out to her during my third trimester and started pelvic floor PT sessions to prep for labor/delivery and it was SO helpful! I think the PT sessions really helped me to engage the right muscles to push effectively so my delivery was very quick. I resumed pelvic floor PT sessions post-delivery and it helped me to recover really well and rebuild my strength. I am so grateful to Elizabeth and can't recommend her enough!!

I found Elizabeth on instagram and decided to schedule and appointment with her. I’m so glad I did. Since our first appointment I noticed a difference with my pelvic floor. She suggested a breathing exercise and I used it to help me with my issue going to the bathroom, I still can’t believe it worked. I was so happy I finally found someone that was able to help me with my pelvic floor. I’m now seeing her to prepare for the birth of my baby and definitely plan to see her for my post partum recovery.

Did you just have a baby and youre having trouble holding your pee? Elizabeth is your gal to fix you!! I was having problems postpartum with holding my pee so much that it was keeping me from wanting to go out in public…TMI but Elizabeth fixed me up! She is super knowledgeable about the pelvic floor and you can tell she loves her job. After our first consultation she gave me plenty of tips and exercises to start doing and by the end of my 6th visit with her I no longer am having any issues. Not only is she very knowledgeable in the pelvic floor but the whole body as well. She was able to fully explain why my body does what it does (other various issues I have) and how I could tweak how I do certain things to help my body. I’m honestly bummed she fixed me so fast because she’s such a joy to be around. I will be recommending her to ALL of my pregnant friends and anybody that needs pelvic help. If I could go back and start seeing her before I gave birth I would!!!

My experience with Elizabeth has been absolutely amazing! I can't believe I lucked out and found such a wonderful PT to help me with my diastasis recti. I had been wanting to work on my core strength for a long time after giving birth for the second time but couldn't find a PT nearby who would get back to me. My first appointment with Elizabeth was such a breath of fresh air. She is super passionate about the work she does, which made me excited to really put in the effort. I have learned so much about my body, and my diastasis has improved tremendously so far. I've been driving over an hour to see her for each appointment, and it has been so worth it. She has such a beautiful spirit, and I honestly feel so blessed that I found her when I did. I highly recommend her!!
