Throttle and Thrive

I spent 30 days here. The staff are the highlight of my experience. I have never felt so accepted and understood. They are truly exceptional and high character. I was in a very bad place when I checked myself in here. I didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel. I was unable to handle my post traumatic stress and could not get sober on my own. I had tried just about everything. They have helped immensely with that and given me the tools to continue on my own. Going to AA and learning about the 12 steps was life changing for me. I truly have no doubt that this place gave me a second chance at being a husband and father. If you're a first responder or a veteran with trust issues, PTSD, alcohol or substance abuse problems, this is the place to go.

Throttle & Thrive is an amazing recovery center that puts the clients’ health and wellness at the core of everything they do. The staff is committed and dedicated to supporting their clients in recovery, growth, and healing. First responders and military service members enable us to live a life full of freedom and safety; but sometimes they need support and a place to heal from the wounds of their job. Throttle & Thrive is a place where that healing takes place and I am thankful that it exists to serve the heroes of our community and country.

Fresh out after 30 days with a whole new outlook on life. I was in very bad shape going in and I decided it was time for a change. With little to no coping skills, I drank myself into the emergency room. Being at Throttle and Thrive, I had everything accessible to make a huge mental and physical shift to better myself. They have everything there. From the daily amazing, healthy, and plentiful food made from scratch… to the therapy, life skills and fitness essentials needed to change my trajectory. I am thankful for every staff member who individually made a lasting impact in my recovery. I felt very welcomed and prioritized at all times. I hope to some day be as good to people as everyone there was to me. -AE

This place is amazing, I went for a tour to see the facility and was so impressed with Shavonne and the staff. Everyone is passionate and committed to helping First Responders. As a Police Officer and member of a Trauma / Peer Support Team, we are always looking for places to send Officers when they are in crisis. I now volunteer and have been back twice and have had sessions with clients there, unbelievable experiences. I will continue to be there as much as possible!! This facility is truly a God given gift for First Responders! Than you Shavonne for your vision and commitment!

Shavonne is an incredible leader. Her attention to detail and excellence is unmatched. She has one of the strongest work ethics I’ve ever seen and is putting all she has into helping people heal and get better. People like her are few and far between and the vision of this facility is much needed. I’ve had the joy of working alongside her for a few years and everything she touches gets better.

I know someone who went through detox and treatment here. The staff is amazing and care deeply about their jobs. This place is definitely about helping people and not about making money off people. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.

Shavonne is a highly respected and highly capable individual. Everything she does is at a level of excellence and with her full heart. She has touched numerous lives with her own story and now she is re-directing the trajectory of others’ lives through her treatment center so they can write their story of recovery and healing to share and positively impact others.

Shavonne is a truly gifted individual who has a depth of understanding on overcoming addiction. Her compassion, grit and perseverance, loyalty and follow through are reasons why I’d trust her with any important task or with any cherished person.
