TherapySouth Hoover (Hwy 150/S. Shades Crest)

This was my first time doing physical therapy so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve had mild shoulder pain from an injury for 4 years. The pain and the knot in my back haven’t gotten better so my primary suggested dry needling. When I went to Therapy South they advised strengthening - so had me do exercises. I never felt I had the PTs full attention - she was super nice & maybe it’s the norm to have 2-3 patients at once? I spoke to friends from other places and they said that was not the norm, typically the PT stays with you the entire session. My 3rd session (I was paying $150 out of pocket because of my deductible) I had to do a weird exercise that didn’t feel right. I workout 4-5x a week, I have scoliosis and am decent at recognizing pain that’s not muscle development but detrimental. I was told to continue the exercise … the next day I couldn’t lift my arm more than 6 inches. It was the worse pain I’ve experienced with my arm to date, I couldn’t even open a bottle of water…I went to their website because I was busy at work. I messaged them Thursday - and maybe they don’t check those? I never heard back. I dealt with the pain for 4 days & didn’t workout. I messaged again on Monday and left a VM Tuesday, I finally heard back Thursday (full week after initial message) . I will not be going back.

I recently had a total knee replacement and the physical therapists at Therapy South-Hoover, specifically Lisen and Ryan, have been there for me in my rehab by giving me professional instruction, therapy, and care resulting in quicker healing, strength and confidence. My procedure was relatively new and they were up on the latest needs and practices to rehab my knee. I’m very satisfied and recommend these guys and gals. They are extremely competent, and extend their therapy in an atmosphere of care, joy and personal touch. But, if Lisen starts humming, brace yourself! Ha! She’s awesome! They’re all very good!!

I've been to TherapySouth Hoover many times now. I went for PT on my ankle and then my shoulder. I know them well and would HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone. There is definitely a sense of family and love as soon as you walk in the building. You can tell the staff cares about each other and you. They are kind and patient while providing top notch care.

Very professional and caring. The therapists really want the best for their patients. Ryan has gone above and beyond to help me walk normally after my knee replacement. It has been a long road with four surgeries in six months and Ryan has done everything he can to get me on track. I am so thankful to have this amazing staff so close to my home, but I would drive a distance to get someone as caring as Ryan. I can't recommend this Therapy South location enough.

I've used therapy south hoover for my back (spondilolythesis) and total knee replacement. The therapists have helped with the exercises and explain and answer all my questions. They genuinely care about all their patients! Everyone from front desk to therapists are extremely friendly. They all speak and ask how I'm doing. I've referred friends here I’m back at Therapy South with reverse shoulder replacement. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, caring, attentive, extremely helpful, and ready to answer questions I may have. I feel good after having therapy. They make sure,also, that I don’t overdo.

Therapy South Hoover is the best facility I’ve encountered. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful - and I’m always greeted kindly and taken back for therapy quickly. If you need a hand/arm therapist like I did, Chuku is fabulous. He has gotten me back to normal functioning quickly and is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend this location to anyone in need of PT!

My husband and I have used this facility in Hoover for over six years. They have gotten us through two knee replacements, a shoulder replacement, a frozen shoulder, and rotator cuff surgery. They are immensely talented, and professional - yet friendly. We have referred several friends here and they have all been 100% happy with their care. We highly recommend any one of the therapists at Therapy South Hoover. We would not go anywhere else!

TherapySouth Hoover was a great experience for me. I tore my ACL in June and was fortunate to have Ryan guiding me through the rehabilitation process. He was knowledgeable, kind, and patient with me. Occasionally Wes stepped in for Ryan and he was great, too. The atmosphere was energetic and fun, and they are very skilled and dedicated therapists. All of the staff there was impressive.. I could have done PT much closer to my home, but I’m glad I had the chance to meet and work with all of these people. Thanks, Ryan, for literally getting me back on my feet!
