The Therapy Place

My son’s pediatrician gave us a referral in December. I’ve been attempting to call to set up an appointment with this facility since then. Someone called me this past Tuesday and left me a voicemail. I returned the call the same day and spoke with someone regarding setting up an appointment. She informed me that the scheduler had left for the day and said she would have her return my call the next day. It’s now Friday, and I still haven’t received a call back, and no one is answering my calls. It’s clearly an indication that they don’t want any business and do not care to provide services.

The therapist are good. But the service of whoever answer the phones suck. I have been trying to call for the past 3 days no answer can't even leave a message for a call back to reschedule my son's appt. I have asked for weeks if the day can be change but never any enough therapist available. Maybe now posting this somebody can give me a call back finally.

If the parent before your appointment is late picking up their child then it takes from your own child’s therapy session. Even if you arrive on time. When my child has a meltdown or a hard time I get phone calls asking me to come get her. When the therapists assured me she would make up for my child’s missed sessions, due to other parents negligence(not picking up their child on time), she never called and we never got the missed sessions. I’m very disappointed with how the establishment is run and their policies and procedures(making a child who arrives on time leave because a late parent hasn’t arrived yet). Am searching for new place for my daughter who can make her a priority just like the other kids.

If you would like an honest therapist; this is definitely not the right place. They tend to tell you that they called your cellphone and texted you to confirm your appointment when I CAN prove that I have no missed calls or text from this place when they want to give you an excuse for not seeing your child. They ALWAYS call YES. TODAY they have the stupidest excuse of “WE CALLED”. If you guys want to lie over a communication issue then learn how to lie correctly. Instead of arguing about something that we can prove find a solution to the problem. This place did this to me when they first opened and here we go again. I thought I could give them a second chance but there is no way it will happen again. Tip: hire people (therapist) that care and that want to help because this is what therapy is all about.

I visited The Therapy Place seeking therapy for my kid. My initial interaction was great, I thought I'd found a place that would be suitable for us. Upon arrival for our initial evaluation appointment at the Apopka location, I was informed that the specialist would not be in today due to car troubles. They did seem apologetic and I understand that life happens however, felt that we should have been notified prior to our arrival in respect of our time and as a first impression. The therapy my kid needs is vital to his development so as a result, I could not confidently recommend this establishment to other families based on the experience we had. If we decide to give them another shot I will update this review based on the experience and services received. At this time based on the experience we had I am rating The Therapy Place in Apopka (2) stars. Hope this helps anyone seeking assistance for their kids.

Not a professional establishment. We lost our consistent speech language appointment time with no explanation from the secretary except we no longer have availability at that time. Communication is poor which is sad when. It is a speech language therapy place.
