I was in a serious big rig crash that left me both physically and mentally injured. My right shoulder was shattered so total reversal repair was done. But with limitations ; it did not function like it did priar to the accident but i could function and am learning how to do things in spite of it. To add to this ( not caused by but made worse by accident ) my right hip is displaced and so im in a wheel chair till it can surgically be replaced. All this put me in a bad place mentally. I was hampered before due to my hip ; but i could still drive. But now even if i get in the truck i had panic and anxiety attacks so bad i could even get myself to start the truck. I was sent here for PTSD the doctors and therapist helped me with this and so much more. I went through a work strengthening program for 20 days from 8am to 4pm . Even though ivhad to get up a 5am for medical transport to take me , i went every day. I hated getting and i had days i had to push to gey through. But during those hours i was physically active we worked not only on shoulder but my legs to so that post surgery will a breeze. I learned to streatch and excetsise in a safe way. I learned that it was safe again to use my voice and my words to aquire what i needed. I had to relearn how to do simple things we take for granted we do like folding laundry or standing to complete task . I learned what motaved me excercise when i can and enjoy it i love music. I also found acceptance the people here the doctors the therapist other patients accept for who you are and where you are. No judgements justa whole lot of encouragement and help silencing the " I cant do this its to hard. Im stupid im lazy and usless " voice you hear in your head when stuff gets hard. I learned to take minute feel what i feel and push through . Highly recommend going here

Praying that after full treatment I have a different review to give. My father has suffered from a serious concussion and suffers deceased memory and cognitive impairment yet I’m Not allowed to go into the appointment to insure he is properly advocated for. I’m sadden and disappointed that the value of questioning those closes to someone with a head injury is not being considered when they are assessing their patients. Definitely concerning and doesn’t give a sense of trust in the staff and doctors. I will reply back after we finish in hopes to give a better report.

There are no finer Doctors and Therapists than they have here. They can and will help you if you really want to try and get as far as you can in your treatment. Dr.K is an amazing doctor.
