Perry Phillips (Itty Bitty Podcast)
Showed up for my Dr. referred appointment and was told ahead of time that they took my insurance. When I got there they told me that because I have two forms of insurance that they could not take my insurance. I informed them that every place I have gone that takes my insurance usually picks the one that works with their practice. I was told that even though they take one of my insurances that they could not take it because I had a secondary insurance even if I wasn’t using the secondary. They then told me it would be $65/visit. So to recap I made an appointment in advance and was told my insurance would work. I got a babysitter for an early morning. Then I was told that the insurance I had that would have worked won’t work because I have a secondary insurance(even though I wasn’t planning on using it). I was told that it’s the practice’s decision whether they want to take my insurance (which I was told they take) or not because of the secondary insurance and that they would still not take my insurance even with a referral/prescription.

I had huge l5 s1 disc herniation slamming against my sciatic nerve. 6 months of terrible pain with no relief, unable to put on shoes, bend or sit. After trying Chiro, shots in spine, other physical therapy places, nothing worked. I was advised to go ahead with the surgery, but in my head that really wasn’t an option due to my occupation(asphalt paving) I came to The Physcial Therapy Center in Buzzards Bay as a last resort. Long story short, this place Changed my life! Brought my pain level from a 9 to a 2 making it possible to get back to work! Thank you so much!
