I was impressed after a trip to my orthopedic doctor the other day and the third party transportation they used took several hours to come pick me up and the director of nursing came and sat with me in the doctors office waiting room for a couple of hours to make sure I was alright and made it back to the facility alokay. She went above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated!

Hello everybody you call me Dorothy but I’m I go by Geno and I just want to thank the kitchen staff and everybody in it for the lovely meals they gave me even though I don’t eat much meat. But they really tried hard. I had a lot of grilled cheese, believe me. And your peanut butter without jelly not much on jelly was very good. Plus the bread you use is like an Italian bread Yum Yum. They try the hardest of all the places I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in five. I love this place because they do try hard. Also Physical therapy this has been my best and I appreciate it very very much. Thank you thank you thank you.❤️❤️

Lori ADMIN and Christi SW both care for the residents of their facility and want the very best care for them. They work side by side with the ViaQuest team, to ensure that each resident is happy and laughs every day. Their team finds a way to create fun and hold activities that are engaging. Christi is always available to help with the well being of the residents and their care. Lori always sets touch base meetings to ensure each resident is getting wrap around care. Lori supports and wants the best for her residents. The Laurels of Hamilton team are all genuine and kind people for anyone’s loved one to spend their days with.

Would like to thank my entire staff at Laurels of Hamilton for all their hard work and dedication over the past two years. I have watched them go above and beyond day after day, shift after shift to provide for our guests. I’ve seen them sitting with dying guests when no family was present, seen them playing games with guest who have not played in months. They have picked up extra shifts so all patients can be cared for and they have shown tremendous patience during stressful times. Your ‘caring’ has been noticed when you thought no one was watching!

I was a patient there from the July 3 2023 till August 10 2023......I was sent there for IV antibiotics therapy for pneumonia...lung abcess...sepsis....heart arrhythmia...and COPD as my main reason for being admitted there ( the following were not on my admission report not initially ) however I had other health issues as well ......osteoarthritis in both hips especially my right hip sciatica in right hip 4 bulging discs one herniated disc spinal stenosis hep c and lower lumbar scoliosis I received treatment for the IV therapy physical therapy and rehab for addiction for IV phentynal drug use (got clean June 22 2023 at home with thee onset of pneumonia and my physical ailments as well) I now know what it feels like to be on both sides of the fence...I worked as a nurses assistant or stna from 1995 till 2017 in long term care facilities also mrdd group homes (2 of those years)....and a PCA (patient care assistant which is a lil more trained stna to work in hospital )2009 thru 2012....I'm actually grateful to God for this experience ...I know how the patients feel now...it was growing experience as well as healing physical wise. In general I am well pleased with the care I received....the nursing staff was on point with being very courteous to me...I was well respected and treated kindly....some of the nurses went above the call of duty and spontaneously asked me if I was ok and even said if you need to talk I'm here.....I say it's above the call of duty because even tho they are supposed to do that anyways the staff that did ask me not only during med pass they even did it when they weren't busy they came and asked me....they made a point after being on their feet all day and came to me and asked me if I needed anything etc.... Whenever I asked for anything I did need it was almost immediately....physical therapy was great I was in a wheelchair chair but they helped me walk the halls with a walker very personable personalities I felt like they were family made me laugh a lot When I was at Clermont they had a hard time finding a facility to accept me because of the drug addiction i had and no one except 2 out of 10 nursing homes would accept me as a patient because of this except the laurels and one other one that's a plus for me because it's a form of acceptance for me....some ody gave me a chance is how I looked at it...I'm grateful ! Rehab was wonderful I had in 2014 graduated rehab inpatient and out patient.....yes I relapsed but I'm gonna say it like it really is....rehab is definitely needed but it's about behavior modification and gives you the educational foundational aspect of addiction...IT WAS JESUS WHO HEALED ME THIS LAST TIME I HAVE A PEACE I E NEVER HAD IN ALL THE TIMES I GOT CLEAN...HE HEALS THE HEART....I GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY!!!.... now rehab was great I learned new medical information that I didn't when I was in rehab in 2014. the counselors were phenomenal...only thing is rehab should be Monday Thur Friday ...it was 3 days a week.... Would have been great if 5 days a week The meals were pretty good actually and ya don't see that much in nursing homes sad to say but true there were a few things I didn't like but when I asked for something else they were right on it I'm grateful for that too the only complaint I had was there was cooking oil taste in the oatmeal it happened a few times to where I had to say something... I believe it's because the pans are hard to scrub in the kitchen but when I mentioned it it was stopped and a few slip ups... I gave a 4 instead of a 5 and here is the reason why..... The only things I'd like to see changed is this.....it's mostly staffed most of the time except weekends that was because of vacation etc... ya gonna see that at times for when I was an aide I worked short staffed some...overall staff was great to patients!! It would have been great to see caffeine free dark pop like coca cola in the vending machines......laundry needs to come back quicker than 5 or 6 days ...it was addressed and corrected Thank you laurels for helping me ....GRATEFUL!💯

Very friendly staff. I felt right at home when I made my first visit to The Laurels of Hamilton. The atmosphere was modern and inviting. I stayed for a longer than usual visit on that day. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a new employer or for a local family wanting a caring location for their loved one. Tops in my book!!

Residents roam around, staff is never anywhere to be found. The few staff members that do eventually show up (after making you wait for 15+ minutes) are always rude. Building is not well maintained. They can’t seem to decide which door they want visitors to go in, all the doors have signs that say “use other door” and if you use the only door that DOESN’T have one of those signs, a surly staff member will likely tell you that you aren’t supposed to use that door. From what I can tell, there is approximately One (1) staff member at the Laurels that is a kind, normal person. I don’t know her name but God bless her. I loathe this place.
