The Laurels of DeKalb

The staff here were so KIND, CARING, and COMMITTED! The Laurels gave my husband exactly what he asked for when arriving as a patient. Therapy was attentive to his needs, limitations, and abilities. He was able to leave The Laurels walking with a cane, after only being able to walk with a walker for the last 4 years! Just a great team to assist after a serious surgery!

Laurels has excellent care. My Mom and my Father-in-law have both been in recently. Both for rehab. Laurel's staff is personal and caring and involved. Mom was in the memory unit and my Father-in-law was in the rehab hall. I had no concerns while my mom and my Father-in-law were there.

Long term staff that know how to provide the utmost care. Longevity in long term care is rare, but essential to quality care. The Laurels of Dekalb has that and sees a lot of return admissions because of this quality care. Cudos to The Laurels of Dekalb, agency free since it's conception.

I saw the five stars on the building and thought it would be a good choice for my dad to rehab for the nightmare hospital stay at Parkview in Ft Wayne. After entering the building, I was greeted by friendly staff and a few residents. When we got to the room, there was a roommate and the room was very small not very comfortable seating for visitors. This was supposed to be rehab only. We had no intention of staying beyond the insurance allowed rehab time. The rehab folks were amazing. Kudos to Dwayne for creating this wonderful warm feeling. Regarding this facility as rehab, I give it a plus 10. We received what we came for and nothing more. That’s all I want to comment on regarding this facility.

Wouldn't let any other place take care of my dad. He has been there a few times for recovery and therapy over the years. He has nothing but good things to say about The Laurels of DeKalb and their excellent staff.

Wonderful place to get rehab! My mom is much better for it. The nursing staff is very caring! If mom needs to go back I would have no problem with her being there!

Superb quality of care and amazing nurses and nursing staff. Whoever is directing things over there really has it nailed. 5 stars

My husband’s grandmother was at Laurels of Dekalb. Very caring staff. She was well taken care of.
