The Lakes at Maumelle Health and Rehab

Thank you for the outstanding care you provided my Mother the last 3 months of her life. I can’t put into words how comforting it was to know that she was in good hands, with her needs being met, when she could not take care of herself and I couldn’t be there for her. I know your guys will continue the great care for so many others. Be blessed.

I'm giving 3 stars at this time as I am SO VERY HOPEFUL the new Administrator, Andrea, can turn this place around. Andrea seems to sincerely care and want the facility to be better. I saw her come in on a Sunday for a surprise visit. I appreciate that. Andrea has visited with me multiple times and when she does I feel it will get better with her at the helm. It's so so hard to have a loved one on lock down without being able to visit them. Andrea, if you are reading this, please keep up the good work and continue to make this facility a better place. Our elderly loved ones deserve a nice place where they are kept comfortable and clean. Thank you for caring.

My problem is that we family members are not allowed inside, except just inside the door, and I know we have to protect our loved ones, but I feel these nursing homes are taking advantage of the pandemic. We have to depend upon the staff to care for our loved ones properly without us being there to make sure that they are. We have to depend on our loved ones to tell us whenever something is wrong and not all of our loved ones are capable of informing their families... I just really wish there was more checks and balances for ALL the nursing homes...

I had my mom Daisy accepted into this facility unbeknownst to my sisters and I that the staff was very inattentive, did not show immediate concern for patient safety and the kitchen staff provided horrible food when my mom was not on a restricted diet. If we had known that our mother would receive this type of treatment, we as a family, would have never made the decision to go with The Lake for our mother in getting rehab. Do not put someone you love in this facility they are not attentive enough for your loved one. FYI THIS DOES NOT DESERVE ONE STAR FOR A RATING!!!!

There are a few shining stars here. Rehab team is the only people I can speak highly of, they were all great. After my dad was moved to long term care, the quality of care sunk to the lowest. There was no caring or compassion. No consistency of care. No consistency of Drs orders. I don’t hide behind a fake name, I’m easy to look up. This is the story I need to share. I feel so sorry for the residents there who have no one to advocate for them. They are abused. My mother and father were verbally and physically abused and we were checking on them every day! I drove an hour to see and check on them. My parents passed before we could find them another home where they could be together. Feel free to contact me if you want more info, I’ll be glad to share my experience and hopefully save you the heartache my sister and I went through. They are being reported to the authorities.

This is by far the best facility I have ever been too! Just walking into the front door gives you this feeling of peace and happiness. All the staff are WONDERFUL! The meals are good and the rooms are clean and tidy! This is the best place for your loved ones!!

This place is not a good place for a loved one, most of the nurses don't take care for their patients like they're supposed to, my mom went downhill she was in there for Rehab, I moved her to a different facility and she's 100% better now.
